I can't wait for Monday! Seems the game is set during the original trilogy and I don't think Boba Fett will be the main character. Maybe we'll get to create one. That would be awesome.

Pretty sure a lot of people have been wanting a Star Wars game like this for a long time. The buzz on this game seems to be spectacular.

Although they might be the very best elements, there's plenty more to Star Wars than the Jedi, the Sith & use of The Force.

Yes. One of their most popular series is Battlefront which for the most part you play as non force wielder characters.

Big Battlefront guy. Battlefront 2 improved greatly with the inclusion of the heroes, mostly Jedi/Sith.

I could enjoy a planet-contained game with Han Solo/Chewbacca style characters, Hutt style villains, blasters, speeders, bounty hunters, droids & a multitude of creatures & races of varying scum & villainy etc. Just as an eg. The whole interplanetary space battle element is just one other massive area that works outside of The Force. Trade disputes, politics, alliances & powers struggles between all the planets out there. Many things can work kind of like how fantasy games can work when going either the sorcery or sword route.

The Star Wars universe is great without the Jedi & Sith. But no denying they are the best things about it.

Sorry for being moody. It is just I remember this exact same hype and talk for The Force Unleashed, and just how underwhelming it ended up.

Also anytime they mention a "new" Star Wars game, I hope against hope we will get the Luke Skywalker game. It is like I set myself up for the pain.

True. They wanted to save it for E3 obviously, but were probably worried about a leak. The stuff with the zipline looked pretty cool though.

I have to say, I rarely ever played as the Heroes in Battlefront 2. I just had more fun being the lowly Clone Trooper with his Rifle. The one Hero I liked to use though, was Jango Fett.

The Star Wars universe is more than just Jedi vs. Sith. If it was, it would be a very boring universe. Many people's favorite characters AREN'T force users, such as Han Solo, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, R2-D2, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Lando Calrissian... I can keep going, but I listed the big ones.

I'm very glad that they ARE making a game showing the dirty, seedy underbelly of the Star Wars society, and can't wait to go deep below Coruscants bright and shiny surface and into the scary labyrinth like tunnels. With out the force powers, it makes the game even more challenging and worthwhile. Sure it's fun to play as a near godlike force user like Starkiller, but there's no real challenge there.

And yes, the starfighting games are pretty fantastic, but you're forgetting about Shadows of the Empire, which had no link to the force except for Luke's glorified cameo.
