Insider Gaming sources have revealed that Respawn Entertainment is developing a first-person Mandalorian game.

First person is disappointing, but still very good news to hear.

First person implies no armor custimization, which, why take that away.

Great to hear as I was actively wanting a general Mandalorian project. As mentioned above, a shame it’s not third person for my gameplay preferences, and also for the visuals and armour customisations.

Maybe the FPP is integral to the gameplay (i.e. seeing the helmet HUD of a Mandalorian).

I'm glad this is an FPS instead of being the 674653645th TPS game. Though, if this will perform on PC as terribly as Jedi Survivor then my excitement is nullified.

See, my tone would be different if we were talking about a new Dark Forces game. But being a Mando without being able to customize your armor, that is not great.

Yeah, between this, the Avatar game and the upcoming Indiana Jones game all being first person it just takes a lot of the fun out of it. There are a few instances where FPS works for a Star Wars game (Dark Forces, Republic Commando) but a Mandalorian-based game would be best suited for third person. Not just for customization but also for jetpack traversal, assuming that's a thing in the game.

Should have made a Republic Commando game like the old fans are clamouring for. It's fun to be in the generic armour in first person. Highly customizable Mandalorians are just begging for the character to be visible. You need to be able to peacock and enjoy it.

That said, a Respawn Star Wars shooter will no doubt be fun. I'll play it (after substantial patches)

I’m not too keen on the FPS gameplay but I will give Respawn the benefit of the doubt that it won’t feel like a generic shooter

Looks like this game won’t be happening anymore unfortunately

One of the dumbest decision was, giving EA the exclusive rights to do Star Wars games.
They cancelled 80% of the star wars games they started working on in the last 15 years or what.

The were hogging the IP so long while doing little to nothing with it.
