Pablo Hidalgo has hinted that Lucas retains final cut for the OT.

It really makes total sense. Because I believe if this wasn't the case, Disney would've announced or released something with this by now. Because there's money to be made here. They know fans want this.

Lucas was a bit devious here. Despite selling the company and retiring from Star Wars, he made sure to set things up this way, so we are stuck with the DVD versions of the theatrical cuts only.

Man they really pulled all the stops for Celebration this year. Everyone is there. They got Harrison Ford, and he's smiling and having a good time and stuff. At least he looks like he is. Warwick Davis even made a joke about his plane landing.

It's OK to love Star Wars again. It's nice.
