Rebels Star Wars: Rebels

I still have to disagree, the artwork is almost torn from Ralph's work, the more simplistic human features was always something of his, but detail in other things. I see most point to Sabine, and I can see the viewpoint of that, but in reality the painting and spray-paint is more along the lines of being a rebel, and oh ya, she's bomb's the **** out of people too lol.

Of course this has more of a wide appeal, but it's no different then what TCW was on. It starts simple as Dave said, but becomes more complex as we grow with the characters. I'm really jacked for this show.

The thing is I completely understand people's sceptism and a great example for that is Marvel's animations on Disney XD.

But the thing is after the last interview, combined with the amazing talents behind the show I can feel we will get the Spectacular Spider-Man and Avenger EMHs vibe, SS's tone is the reason why the hired Greg Wiseman in the first place, and the magic word from Dave Fioni ( if that's the spelling lol) said he just wants to make a serialised story telling show with character development.

So with that and a lighter tone than TCW, I am absolutely fine with it.

^ I just wished it stayed at the same tone as TCW.

Is that asking too much? :)

It's not too much too much to ask but it's Disney and the tone of SS is good enough cause that show was brilliant, trust me you won't regret it.

The third excecutive producer said Rebels will go to some dark places and the theme of the show from the interview is balance.

So don't worry you will enjoy it like TCW.

Well here's to hoping. :D

There is a different tone between the OT and the PT, and this is no different. It deals with different times during the SW universe. They are going for a more OT feel with this one.

I meant more of a darker tone like TCW season 3-6, then seasons 1-2. In other words' not too kid friendly.

I agree with Dave that Dark does not equate good. Though great tales can be told in the darker side of things, it's not always the case. The Empire Strikes Back was not superb just because it was dark, it was because it was well written, directed etc. ROTS I could not stand, and it was apparently the "darkest" but it did not make the film any better.

I think there are evolution where a hero will face darker times, but that can be down the road. ANH did great establishing things, and usually the second act or later evolution as Dave said gets darker.

Sorry let me rephrase myself. I hope Rebels story lines are not just made with kids in mind, but made with more mature tones, if you will. Like Mauls story line, and the origins of the force keepers story etc. and not so much Jar Jar arch in TCW.

Well read that interview and even Dave thought some of Maul's story may have gone too far. And I know Dave is not just thinking of kids, he knows his works wide appeal as Star Wars.

Wow really? :csad: I really dug those story lines.

That's no one's fault but Marvel's, specifically Jeph Loeb, Joe Quesada, and Man of Action.

Exactly it is Marvel's fault, but many people blame Disney for it and fear Star Wars will follow suit.

Which is why I gave it as an example.

Oh the female Mandolorian sabotaging a TIE-Fighter landing bay! :hyper:

I actually think the series looks great. It seems to share the same tone as Clone Wars which I loved. My only fear was that they wouldn't show people dying on screen ...which I am SOOO glad I was wrong about. Plenty of people died on screen in that clip of the trailer alone. lol

That shot of Sabine in her "Batman pose" looks badass.

Eh, I think the trailer is making the show appear worse than it's going to be.

Looks like fun, just wish there was a bit more of the Inquisitor in the trailer.

The trailer was pretty "meh" up until Kanaan took his light saber out.

I thought the trailer was interesting... Just why do they have to use the prequel music for EVERYTHING!?.. I really wanted this show to feel separate from the prequels. (that means YOU dual of Fates! :cmad:) :cwink:

i mean if they use Battle of the Heroes or dual of fates music in the Star Wars 7 teaser... I am going to have to paddle someone.:cwink:

Kind of a disappointing trailer. Mostly because of the length. There just wasn't a whole lot to it.

The trailer shows that the show is lighter than TCW, but the storm-troopers died in that trailer.

Everyone is using a gun and there were lots of explosions, so that's good right?
