I do hope people give it a chance. The Clone Wars didn't start off nearly as good, nor as mature and at times dark as it got in its later seasons. People need to keep that in mind I think. Whatever Rebels is when it debuts, that won't be what it is in its third season, and that won't be what it is when it reaches the end of its run.

I'm pretty sure this will be awesome. Ya the trailer did not blow anyone away, but you can tell it's got great content, just a poorly edited trailer. I did like everything I saw though. I trust in Dave and his team.

The music was one of the best things about the PT. The movies may have been underwhelming at best, but the music was great.

Indeed, that is what I keep telling myself. Right now I'm not liking too much of what I'm seeing from Rebels at all but I remember with The Clone Wars I started hating it then returned in the middle of the third season and loved it.

I remember when the first pictures of Clone Wars were released and everyone was saying the same thing they are now with this new. "It's too kiddy!" "It's going to suck!"

Then it turned out to have some of the darkest stories in the canon.

I didn't love the trailer, but that really doesn't mean much at this point. I am a big fan of the look so far. I do wonder why the lightsaber needs assembly.

All of it sounds exciting. I do think we will eventually see Palps/Vader. It would be hard not to have them in it. I just can see the stories going in very awesome areas. I would love to see Vader hunting down some Jedi himself. I'm also hoping we see more of Tarkin since he was set up pretty good in TCW.

As for the Obi-Wan news, that would be great. To see what he has been doing. I always took it as Obi-Wan (from ANH) had helped the Rebels in the past, not just that time.

The question I have though still...are they not releasing the premiere in the summer time? I thought it was like an hour ordeal they were releasing before the fall premiere. Is this no longer the case?

Since this show takes place in the Outer Rim, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Han and Chewbacca pop up at some point, or perhaps Jabba.

While fun to speculate and all that, I genuinely hope it doesn't occur too often; and when it does, it has to make sense and serve a purpose. Given the time period, the show could all too easily devolve into "spot the cameo/guest star" rather than focus on its actual stars and original characters.

The tone and animation wasn't very impressive, seems to have a lighter tone, the characters also look a bit too generic for my tastes, but who knows, if they're very well written then the show may be really good. After the complex point of views we've seen in The Clone Wars where we got to see all the point of views of the war, it would seem a bit weird if we didn't see Darth Vader or the Emperor.

I have to say, I've just started watching TCW on Netflix for the first time (I know, SUPER late to the party, but I guess the Episode VII hype finally got to me), and watching the trailer for this, I'm really not seeing the marked difference in style/tone between the two shows that seems to have everyone worried here. Now, I'm only a few episodes into TCW so far, and I understand that it apparently gets darker and more mature as it goes along so I'm sure that has something to do with these reactions, but based on what I've seen so far, I see no reason not to expect this to live up to the quality standard set by that show. They seem cut from similar enough cloth to me.
