Do you guys think we will see Vader at some point on the show?

I believe at some point during the run of this show, we will see not only Vader, but the Emperor as well. They will obviously not be regulars, but with Rebels running in primetime, I could see them pulling out the big guns during sweeps week, for instance.

They may not even appear during the first season, as I think it is important for them to establish the show's original characters before relying on our old favorites (although I know Obi-Wan, R2 and 3PO will appear at some point). However, I am pretty sure we'll see them eventually.

If they are going to have an epsidoe around the Christmas season that would be an ideal time to have a Darth Vader episode. I also think we will see Boba Fett, I hope we see him working with and against Cad Bane. :D

Dude, I'd love to see Boba! Like many, I'm also really hoping to see Cad Bane, Ahsoka and Ventress at some point.

I am hoping to watch Ahsoka's death on this show. :awesome:

Little late to the party, but I'm glad that we have a solid date now.

Also glad to hear TCW Season 6 is coming out on Blu-Ray in Germany, only a matter of time until we get it here.

But next week my goal will be to read A New Dawn.

lol...she was annoying initially, but I've come around on her. Her final arc in the series from season five sealed it for me. It was some of Ashley Eckstein's best work as the character.

Started annoying in the movie but ended up being one of the best parts in the show, who the hell still wants her dead?

She had some episodes where she wasn't annoying. Heck even interesting. Her final story was terrific. But the vast majority of the time, the Ahsoka-centric episodes were inferior to the other episodes. The show was never better then when it focused on Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, Ventress, Dooku, Maul, the Mandos, or the clones. When she was removed or marginalized, the show was just so much bette imo. Ahsoka was almost in the way of that interesting, intriguing stories wanted to see. Jedi knights fighting alongside the clones, battling the Sith and their minions.

And it isn't simply because she is an original character for the show. I am not a fan of the Boba Fett stuff for the most part either. And I love me some Boba Fett.

Me. :cwink:

I am sure we will see Boba as he should now be closer to the Boba we know and love in this show. Those would be the 3 characters that I could see popping up from CW, more so than any others with the exception of maybe Hondo.

My copy of A New Dawn just arrived! Time to read a bit before work

'Star Wars': First look at 'Episode VII' elements might be in 'Rebels'

By James Hibberd on Sep 11, 2014 at 12:02PM @james_hibberd

Attention Star Wars fans: Want to see the new ships, locations, characters and weapons that will be in Episode VII? Some of them might make their debut appearance as early as this fall.

The team behind Disney’s other announced Star Wars filmed story, the one that’s being released next month—Star Wars Rebels, which premieres Disney Channel before moving to Disney XD—is creatively in cahoots with the Episode VII team, EW has learned exclusively. Even though Rebels takes place years before the events of the first-released Star Wars film (Episode IV), and is an animated series rather than a feature film, Disney wants to make sure any creative elements introduced in Rebels align with the rest of the Star Wars canon. That way, even with multiple Star Wars projects in various stages of development at the same time, the brand’s world-building will continue in a cohesive and consistent manner.

“It’s a very integrated process, there’s real communication between all the filmmakers because we’re all part of a larger timeline,” says Rebels executive producer Simon Kinberg, who is also a creative consultant on Episode VII.

“There is absolutely communication and integration between the different stories. We are very aware of what they’re doing in VII, and we also have to click into place with Episode IV.”

So you might see a new Star Wars city or a character in Rebels and not even realize until 14 months later (when Episode VII is scheduled to be released) that they’re also in the new film albeit presumably in some older form). And for fans of IV, V and VI, expect plenty of “set-ups and Easter eggs” to elements in those classics. “There are characters, vehicles, imagery that are introduced in the show before we’ve ever seen them in the movies, possibly including VII,” he said.

Rebels debuts Oct. 3 on Disney Channel, and then starts its regular run on Oct. 13 on Disney XD.

Here are some exclusive new images from the show:

^^^ Thanks for posting that article man and the other updates in the thread. I like how they are taking the same approach with Star Wars as they have have the MCU.

No prob, HR...you know how I do! :yay:

I love the look of this planet/city, it is like an icy water version of Bespin.

Agreed...it's a beautiful design...can't wait to learn more about it!

Oh yes!!! Love me some trooper and speederbike action! :D

That, my friend, is classic Star Wars!

Not really a surprise to me. I expect that kind of detail from these guys, specially when it comes to continuity. I'm currently reading A New Dawn, and even thought i havent finished it yet i'm quite happy that i'm getting to know these characters a bit before the show. Makes me even more excited :woot:

How far into it are you? I'm about half way in. Liking it very much so far. I'm really enjoying [blackout]Skelly[/blackout] as a character. Kanan is basically exactly what I was expecting, and Hera has been better than I hoped.

I finished it yesterday. I really enjoyed it! It's nice getting to know these characters a bit before the show starts. Makes me even more excited for the show.
