‘Star Wars Rebels’: Dave Filoni reveals the Inquisitor, talks up series at NYCC
.................
Hero Complex is pleased to debut an exclusive piece of concept art featuring some spacecraft that will look familiar to any fan. Check it out below.
Set 14 years after “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith,” “Star Wars Rebels” will center on a core group of characters — with the Inquisitor serving as a major villain tasked by Darth Vader to track down the final remaining Jedi Knights.
Hero Complex chatted with Filoni before NYCC to learn more about what fans should expect from “Star Wars Rebels,” which will premiere on Disney Channel in the fall of 2014 before airing regularly on Disney XD. And he also shared some “Clone Wars” details too.
t: interesting that the show takes place 14 years after ROTS, but it does make sense if the Rebellion will start to rise by then. People needed to start to realize the Empire was a bad idea, and that had to take some time for the general public fully acknowledge, especially after ROTS. It does open the door to a whole lot of characters from PT, OT and CW to show up though, so i cant wait
Still hoping for an appearance by Cad Bane at some point.

I think he should show up leading a Bounty Hunter crew with Boba Fett in it.![]()
There is also another reason for using a new villain. The heroes are going to have to win at least some of the time. The problem with using Vader is that if he constantly fails to eliminate these new characters, it makes him far less intimidating as a villain. Having this guy sidesteps that potential problem. Also, I'm really looking forward to the inevitable Vader/Asokha duel.
OH.
MY.
GOD.
...is that a Corey Burton autograph?![]()

The fact he was a producer on the awesome Young Justice series bodes well.
