I entered in "Holy Crap"

:woot:

I think John has better lines for this sort of thing though as he is the hero of the show

so there's a pre air of season 5 premier floating around on zee info net, seeing that there is no new tv right now, thought I might take a taste, risky, I know

I have seen it.... and it's good.

The only thing i'll say past ^^^ is that there is a WTF moment during the bit b4 the start up credits Involving....

Ford

Interesting....well, only a couple more weeks here.....My question is considering its an American show and property, produced in Canada...but the UK gets it first??

nope... we get this in August i think...

Sci-Fi gets it first on July 11

I was only basing that off of the final season of SG-1 airing over there before here in the US....my mistake....and Continuum will be out at the end of next month...which looks cool

I thought it was rather fitting, and it was very nice of the actor to agree to do that. Who knows, it might even be a sign we're going to see more of ford this season. I'd welcome the idea.
Anyhow, I liked the premiere even if Carter getting the boot was a little underhaded.

Michael as usual is great, because he's actually an intelligent oponent. I liked the little moment where after his hyperdrive explodes he asks: "how did they do that?". Other villains would be all: "find them! Kill them!" but Michael actually wants to know how it happened because it's an obvious weakness in the design of his ship.

All the characters had good moments I believe, but Sheppard and McKay take the prize. Sheppard was acting stupid for most of the episode but oddly in character and I have to say that man looks FINE in a white shirt. :D

McKay delivering the baby was both funny and touching. He was so petrified but then he was acting all butch because he didn't drop the baby. Ha!

I could grow to like Woolsey...I like Picardo anyway, he's at least pretty frank about his experiences with Star Trek

I felt bad that he never even got a name as Voyager's doctor. :(

He looks pretty goofy in the SGA uniform. I wish they'd just let him keep the suit. It's not like Atlantis has ever been especially strict about dress code: Sheppard gets to wear his BDU all the time, McKay wears a leather jacket on field missions, and Ronon dresses however he damn well pleases. But I'm looking forward to his turn as commander. As much as I love Carter, the producers/writers/et al. were right, she's just way too likeable to be commander. There's no friction between her and the rest of the group, which makes for a boring character dynamic.

of course we're gonna see him this year... what would be the point of bringing the guy in, to do a 3.6 second cameo?

I'll never understand why they give Picardo the 'command' role, when Assistant Director Skinner is already there. Better actor, better character

They should get him his old Starfleet doctor uniform! :)

"Get rid of the last bad guy and then there's ...cake, that's why we're all here"

Pure Jack O'Neil genius

As excited as I am for a new SG-1 film, they did have an episode where the past was changed and Daniel Jackson and Sam Carter were civilians, and SG-1 never existed...so I don't get why they are kind of re-hashing it with a bigger budget?? I'll still watch it of course

I don't post in this thread, but I felt it necessary to drop by and let you know that Don S. Davis passed away from a massive heart attack on Sunday morning, June 29th.
