State your opinion a character - Part 1

A better show would rotate the lower tier street characters. Throw in Moon Knight, Cage, Iron Fist, a few others. I think a Heroes 4 Hire TV series would be incredible. Have them go up against the same threat over the course of one season with everyone and every plot line coming together in the last 2-3 episodes.

Now would be a good time for that, given that people are a bit more open to superheroes in general thanks to the never-ending parade of superhero movies. If the H4H TV show embraces the craziness of the Marvel universe the way DnA's recent comic did, I'd be all for it. Ghost Rider and Iron Fist tracking down Atlantean drugs on the streets of New York! :hehe:

I was never too big on Cloak and Dagger. I liked some of their guest appearances in Spider-Man comics way back when but never enough of a fan to follow them regularly.

Same here. He does have a pretty cool look though.

And if we're talking tv shows it's never too late to do a New Warriors show.:yay:

Yeah, I'm sure TV execs are falling all over themselves to grab that property. ;)

I can always threaten people to get my way, sir. Of all the 90's properties the new Warriors would be great for tv as long as they keep the depth that the original series had.

I dug the New Warriors series, at least the little I was able to buy as a teenager.
As for Cloak, I like him but wish I could see more. The scene in Civil War #7 of him transporting craploads of people was great, particularly with McNiven's art

Next up!
The Sentry

*Given my avatar I'm guessing you guys saw this coming. I shall brace myself for the Sentry hate ;)

Good for his first mini. Bad for everything else. I kind of like that he represented the f***ed up placeholder for Thor while the Avengers were in ruins, though.

Okay idea, not my favorite Superman wannabe (that would be Supreme), haven't read enough books with him to have a very good opinion. The Ares scene makes me sick.

One of the biggest wastes of potential I've ever seen.

I liked the original mini series by Jenkins, but everything after is awful. Glad he's gone.

I like the silver age style stories of him, forgot their name
Dude betrayed his friends to join Osborn's Dark Avengers, he can't be trusted

Loved the original mini, hated the second. More or less I hated the majority of Bendis' work on the character, his role in Siege tie in Dark Avengers stuff though, that was some of the best I've read coming from a Marvel event. Likewise World War Hulk, Siege and the Sentry's final descent into madness was excellent. he was a really awesome threat yet also very sympathetic at the same time. So basically I liked when he was used in big emotional events that showed off his madness and power, yet hated when he was written in monthly series.

I need to read the original. I am a fan of both Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, and I've heard good things. Beyond that I've only read Sentry in the New Avengers or in World War Hulk. He just seemed like the Marvel U's version of Goku. Ultra powerful, but for some reason he can't fight until the end of the story for dramatic purposes.

The Suckest biggest Mcsuckest character for me of them all!!!The power of a million exploding suns?!" Child please! i hate how he was foisted upon us "look everyone ..he's the strongest person ever!... oh but" nobody ever knew about him for years." How he's the strongest guy in the universe, but cant step out side!Ohhhhh broootherrrr!! dude dont even have a cool outfit! dont even get me stated on that void nonsense and then they just have to keep shoving and shoving him down our throats, like in World War Hulk. When obviously nobody cares. Wolverine would show up in a book because he was so popular people would buy anything he was in. this dude shows up as cry to please please accept him.I've seen Superman, i know Superman and you Sentry are no Superman!Sit your Suckest ass down!

I like(d) him, but he was wasted in the end. I think he belonged in space; Earth problems seemed below him.

Don't forget the "as strong as his mind" thingama crap

a pic is worth a thousand words!:cwink:... okay so supes a few chose words on the matter. hehe

He's a massive waste of potential. Nobody knew how to use him properly and I'm glad he's gone. I wish it was for good but you know damn well Bendis is going to bring him back as soon as possible.

He wasted him, I don't think he liked him at all

Uh, he put him on the Avengers and wrote several stories that revolved around him.....how is that not liking him?
