I loved Quasar when he joined the Avengers years back. He became one of their most important members and I'd like to see him back on the team again one day.

what? i thought it was real time?! Man! I stand corrected Aziz. i cant remember freakin issue of such and such. you know how tequila i had yesterday! give an old man a break.. well rather if it was " real time", "what if's" or Spider man#3... VENOM STILL SUCKS!!( sorry had to get my venom punch in fer today!)

He had Doom's Cosmic Power Sucker on his fists!!! How many times do I have to remind people of that???

ok! ok! frankie! but if you have the power cosmic and can hear the wings of a mosquitozoid on Zentax 3... shouldnt you be able to hear some Dude in a metal amour sneak up on your ass with power oven mitts?!?( or a cat guy?)


oh and for Quasar He rocks! a really nice nice guy! wendell with his power bands( I dig Power bands!) though that outfit (if he still wears it sucks!) but Q rocks with his headband wearing self!

Venom hitting BC that harsh made it ironic to see her agreeing with him when Spider-Man decided to save her and ignore going after Carnage in Maximum Carnage, the agreeing with Venom part

The original Venom, by definition, isn't an "imitation" of any kind. "Poor excuse", maybe, but not "imitation"
Personally, I love Venom because:

1. His personality: He's dark, twisted, funny, and scary. Few villains can accomplish that.
2. His chemistry with Spider-Man. They have a great banter together as they exchange quips and wisecracks.
3. He's (or was) one of the most threatening Spider-Man villains of all time. He was a formidable opponent in ways that not even Green Goblin could match.

Does he have poor motivations? Yes, but he more than makes up for it. Or at least he used to until Marvel overexposed the character and then turned him into a gentleman villain and then an anti-hero. But I always think of Venom as he originally appeared, and he was an awesome villain.

Green Goblin can't beat Venom at doing those things. Green Goblin's awesome (my other favorite Spider-Man villain), but he can't match Venom in the fun & thrilling department.

I agree, the brain-eating schtick was terrible, but that didn't start until Erik Larsen replaced Todd McFarlane as the penciller for Amazing Spider-Man, though writer David Michelinie remained constant.
I've never really cared for Venom exclaiming "We want to eat your brains", and I don't really understand why it's become associated with the character.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Venom is threatening in ways that Green Goblin likely never will be. Venom is physically superior to Spider-Man, with all of Spidey's powers and more. He can attack Spider-Man from anywhere, at any time, and strike without warning, without mercy.
