Moon Knight

One of the best and most interesting characters ever. I remember writing once about "Death in the family, birth of a hero", and started with this guy and his own death and resurrection

Too bad Chuck Dixon turned him to the Ultimate Spider-Man of the 616 universe, but for both cases, stories are great. DareDevil talking with him in Marvel Knights

After that darn ugly artist took handle of him his stories turned too sour to read during the 90s

The f***ing man. Currently being held hostage by Bendis.

Prefer the redemption angle which he's been separated from in favour of the general "crazy one".

The Bottom still stands as one of my favourite story arcs, and is why I get behind Finch as a writer/artist; because so much rested on his artistic ability to tell the story as Huston was new to writing in the genre.

I don't like that he's been completely cut off from his supporting network (for Bendis to replace them with a new support unit of his own making/choosing) and the fact he's been distanced from Khonshu.

Love the fact that he succeeds despite clear imperfections of character, much like Robinson's Starman only even more exaggerated. Truly flawed heroes who succeed through grit and determination... an inner heart that may not be so easily apparent. That's the kind of stuff I like.

Batman's a human, but DC builds him up as almost a mythic human ideal - his own kind of perfection. Moon Knight is far from that. He's not "imperfect" purely because he's a member of the human species and doesn't have any special powers... Moon night is legitimately imperfect. Broken in many ways, both currently and in his history/origin. Seeking redemption for both that which he's done and that which he will continue to do because he understands just how flawed he is.

He's just trying to get by doing more good than harm.

Was never really a fan of Moon Knight. Picked up that Charlie Huston/David Finch run from a few years back and it really got me into the character. That series kind of got off the rails after Huston left the title.

I'm actually enjoying Bendis' take on Moon Knight right now. It's interesting and the recent arc was really awesome with the Ultron head and the "kingpin" of the west coast. Plus the Maleev artwork is fantastic!

He is and will always be the *&^%*& man' guys!! i love the street level guys and i doubly love the crazy ones! I still can't find that series, and I'm not desparate enough to buy an essential for two issues I don't own only, yet

Totally dug when dude have 5 personalities going on to keep his secret Id safe and then started to believe that that *&^%$ was real! that was awesomely cool, but what put Moonie on top for me was this! This... This is the everloving *&^%%$##((&^%$##( right here baby!

This scene was kickass, mainly cause he got the guys scaring the $#%^ out of their own $#%^

i picked em long time ago Spider cause i loved WW by night and was like who's this bad guy?!?they cost an arm and leg for those originals now, but damn i am glad i got em.Moonie is one of those rare ones who's better then what they started out as.

Some big love from some of you for Moon Knight. Like, to the point where I worry what Vulcan does when he reads MK's comics . Myself, I haven't read much with him but I recently got his whole run w Finch, so I'm lookin forward to reading it.

Scarlet Spider

Awesome, Spider-Man with a different name, and costume, and supporting cast at times
Still Spider-Man, the only good thing to come out of the clone saga are those two clones

Ben Reilly is great. Love the Scarlet Spider (even with the dumbish costume/name)!

His Spider-Man costume was awesome though.

Scarlet Spider/Ben Reilly is one of my favorite superhero comic characters of all time. Too bad Joe Quesada and Stephen Wacker weren't in editorial at that time because they would have probably just ignored fans and kept Ben Reilly as the one true Spider-Man. Peter would have stayed the clone and moved to Portland with Mary Jane. All would have been well.

Unfortunately, the powers at Marvel during that time bowed down to the angry fans, made the already confusing Clone Saga EVEN MORE confusing, and then killed off a really good character because some fans were mad.

It's cool they are bringing the "Scarlet Spider" back but there is none higher than Ben Reilly.

Can't say much about Scarlet Spider since I have read very little. I like the suit, but that's about it. Moon Knight is incredibly awesome. Loved reading Hound's write up.
