State Your Opinion on A DC Character - Part 3

I remember that last time they tried to reinvent the Challengers, and Good God that was aweful. They were like, a sleeper cell or something. CINO all over again. Though more like COTUINO......which sounds like a dirty word for Vagina in Klingon.

Kanjar is a villain who reflects the evils of reality, the spread of war for profit and the expansion of personal power. He's an outer space version of earthly dictators like the leaders of Iran, North Korea, etc.

Whilst I do enjoy Kanjar-Ro, something about him's always seemed sort of pathetic.
He's like the Quark of DC's villains...

That's not a bad comparison

Kanjar is a lot like a Ferengi. He's not a deliberately evil person he just thinks money is all that matters

If DC used him in a Quark like role in a sci fi comic book he could be fun

Someone like Adam Strange or Captain Comet could be his Odo

I'd read the **** out of an Adam Strange/Kanjar Ro odd couple book. It'd be like Cable/Deapool... only good.
Something like that would really raise the profiles of both characters too.

Well, I guess Kanjar Ro has become a character with potential if somebody really decided to do something with him. Which could be said for most.

Like a Boss

General Eiling

Eiling was pretty much the Red Hulk before the Red Hulk. Only he never regretted anything he did, which is why he's still stuck in limbo as a one-note villain. :oldrazz:

Loved him in his first story as The General in JLA, and again when he came back for the Injustice Gang arc. And then I saw him in Salvation Run just kind of idly standing in the background here and there disappointingly (part of the Suicide Squad if memory serves). Dude is a great tactician and has the power to slap around the Justice League, but it seems as if all that most writers can think to do with him are cameos. So someone with his kind of power was actually free and running around without trying to pick a fight with the League? At least throw him in space or the phantom zone or something, so we have a reason for why he hasn't made a big splash anywhere (pre DCnU).

Still, J.K. Simmons was awesome as his voice in the cartoon.

J.K Simmons is always :awesome: sauce

that dude is all kindas bad ass. you take some sorry ass guy with no brain ,cant be destroyed ,with some stupid name "The Shaggy Man?!?give me a psychotic general who is insane, give him a military style haircut ( man! did i hate that when i 1st was in) make him hell bent on destroying superheroes and thats cool! like Corpy said" the red hulk before the red hulk and much much better!!" I hear alot of people say generals and people in the military aint really like that. that its cartoonish! Maaaaaannnnn! there alot of people in the military like that!!! i was around em!! ( its also why i go out!) there are alot of people in the military. who if you dont believe like they do" in their mission from god" will kill you! that why that guy is believable and rocks he's a 8 on the rocktor scale

He was pretty good as a villain in Morrison's JLA stories

Moving on.

"There's only one way outta here shaggy, and that's by eating my Scooby snacks."

Amanda Waller

Waller is more :awesome: than a possum

She's a great character and i loved her in Ostrander's Suicide Squad and Simone's Secret Six

DC making her super skinny in the new Suicide Squad series makes me rage though :cmad:

she 's a great character but i hate that *&^^%((**&^%))(*&%$$@##$$%$%&*((. i would sooo put my *&^^%$ foot up her(&*&^^%$#( and knock her upside her *&^ pumkin head!! she's a 5 on my &&^%$(rock scale. though i hate her big &&%^%)))&^%%ass! big time((&^% the wall!

They should have kept her fat! It made her stand out, but now she's just another good looking comics woman instead of being unique in terms of looks. Her weight really went well with her attitude. She didn't give a damn about your feelings, and she damn sure didn't give a damn about her weight.

What I hate more now is how some idiots were arguing with me about how her being fat is a bad image for young black girls. WTF? She's a god damned comics character. Who cares if she gets the diabeetus? Wouldn't it make more sense that black girls see a woman of power to look up to instead of her weight? Hell no one reads comics for that type of stuff anyway.

With that being said, I would do Angela Bassett. I'd marry that woman. Best cougar ever!

Waller's great! Absolutley love her!

And yeah, her new 52 look is insulting...

She reminds me of Gyrich. She's not likeable but she is a good character.

Having her skinny is absurd. If they wanted to get her in better shape, they should have made her a Pam Grier lookalike.

They should have just kept her fat and played her off like a female Kingpin-physically, that is.

I think its pretty insulting that they decided to make one of the few women with a different body type in comic books as skinny as every other major female character

Its just fanservice and not the good kind :(

Well, that's it for the Wall.

Apparently skinny b***hes rule. :o

Checkmate

In all it's many forms. :o

DC's kinda unnecessary attempt at a SHIELD... they don't do it for me.

(Ironic considering how much I dig the Waller character)

I read the Rucka version, and I am thankful because it was great!

I loved Rucka's version after that dbag Max Lord was gotten rid of

The Checkmate series after One Year Later was fab and i loved the characters in it so much. Rucka wrote them all so well

Everyone should read Rucka's Checkmate series
