How smart is Cyborg in the new 52?

Has Powergirl been to Apokolips?

Fairly intelligent, but the Apokoliptian tech does most of the work.

Post reboot? No.

pre Reboot? Probably.

Any good trades focusing on the solo adventures of the Atom (any of them)?

The Gail Simone run with Ryan Choi was pretty good.

There was also the one where Palmer got turned into a teenager and got stuck fighting in some kinda mid-evil micro world. Also he led the Teen Titans for awhile. I heard those was good.

Thank you.

Prolonged exposure to Kryptonite can affect humans. Was this idea first introduced post-Crisis, or was it around before that?

Post Crisis. PC Lex Luthor had a Kryptonite ring that eventually gave him cancer.

Is Stephanie Brown Spoiler again? Or even around in any of the books?

Does Superman need to eat? Or does Earth's yellow sun take care of that as well?

She's been one of the characters who's gone MIA since Flashpoint

As far as I know, the yellow sun takes care of it, but he still eats out of habit. But I don't know if that's ever been something that's been solidly stated or anything.

Just a rough guess but if Lanie there was six when Lois died she'd be 50 now. I guess that's why they just have the dates on the tombstones show born 19xx and died 20xx these days.

if krypton had a heavier gravity than earth, would it be hard to use ships?

Yeah, definitely. Unless they developed anti-gravity or some kind of electro-magnetic hover thing, then it would be kind of moot.

Hey everyone, so I visited my comic store asking around about starting Green Lantern for a complete beginner. They all said I should start with Rebirth, but I flicked through the first couple of pages, it seemed like there were events that happened which I should know about. Unless there's something I'm missing here Could someone put together a reading order list please? If it helps I've read Green Lantern: Secret Origin(The one with Ryan Reynolds on the cover).

Never read movie tie ins.

You can read Rebirth. They explain pretty much the entire history of the GL Corps. Most of the other stuff is either out of continuity or out of print at this point so, Rebirth is really the place to start.

All you need to know is that Hal was Green Lantern for a number of years, city got blown up by some super villains and he went nuts (retconned in to having been taken over by a fear bug that little blue guys trapped in the battery and forgot about) flew to Oa, absorbed the entire battery and tried to remake the universe. The JLA and the Last Green Lantern, (Kyle Rayner) stopped him, he came to his senses sorta, then ended up reigniting the Earth's sun after it got eaten by a Sun Eater. This of course killed him, and he then became the new Spectre, (That's God's Spirit of Vengeance) for a bit until Rebirth. There. All caught up.

Wow that's quite a mouthful. So you can't really simply start from New 52 can you?

A writer named Geoff Johns started his run on Green Lantern with Rebirth and ran the title until about 3 issues ago, each story building upon the other. You can technically start anywhere in there if you want, but there will be a lot of things that you're missing. Rebirth really is the place to start.

Prior to Rebirth... Hal Jordan went crazy after Coast City was destroyed (by two villains named Mongel and Cyborg Superman). He lusted for power to essentially raise the city and the dead, so he killed the Corps and the Guardians and got that power... becoming Parallax. He was a bad guy for a time, being replaced as a Lantern (the last Lantern) Kyle Rayner. Hal eventually died saving the world, though. Upon death, he was made to become the Spectre (God's wrath) in order to basically work off his sins. And it's been years since this happened prior to Rebirth. Kyle Rayner had a long, successful run as the Green Lantern. A few members of the corps returned in various way, and the Guardians came back too.

Oh, and Hal Jordan and Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) were best friends.

That's what you need to know prior to Rebirth.

I just f**kin' said that. :o

Nope. The reboot effected everybody that wasn't Batman (though his sidekicks got completely f**ked up) or Green Lantern. So you're gonna have to do some digging.

For some titles, you can. But for some others, not so much. GL is one of those, mainly because the same writer from pre-New 52 also carried over and basically just kept going more or so uninterrupted.
