This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]356051[/split]
Er... why? How is Dick operating as a Batman, Inc.-sanctioned Nightwing in Gotham any different from Nightrunner as Batman, Inc.'s agent in France or Knight as Batman, Inc.'s agent in England or El Gaucho operating as Batman, Inc.'s agent in Argentina? People know Batman's around more than ever through his agents. Nightwing is one of them. What's the problem?
Dick was more than willing to get back to Nightwing in Batman & Robin #16 and with Morrison deciding to continue Batman with his next big idea they decided to keep Dick and Damian, but post Batman Incorporated #10 conclusion something major happens so i'd wait and see really.
I just hope it isn't that Dick makes some mistake and decides he's not worthy or something.
I'd be glad if it were something as simple as Batman being global now and Gotham not needing the overt symbol of "a Batman" to keep things in line anymore, so Dick reverts to his much more comfortable role as Nightwing in response to that. Perfectly reasonable.

I prefer him as Nightwing, personally. Yes, he earned his place s Batman, but at the end of the day that's Bruce's gig and Dick already has his own niche that he's carved out for himself as Nightwing.

I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but just looking at the costume design in that new artwork has got me thinking. What if Batgirl's new costume is mechanical in some way? What if Barbara Gordon is still paralysed, and it's the suit that gives her motion?
i thought that it is actually pretty obvious how the stories are going to end.
with flashpoint, someone (possibly reverse flash) actually went to the past and changed everything such that none of the heroes exist. so flash needs to go back to the past and change everything. he'll bring superman back to smallville to grow up with the kents, wonder woman and aquaman never got married, they formed justice league and since cyborg played a major role in this world, he is upgraded to the justice league.
since flash went back in time, how better to make use of the opportunity to save barbara gordon from being paralyzed and bruce wayne from dying.
since bruce wayne never died theres no space for 2 bats in gotham so dick went back to being nightwing and possibly start his own career and legacy as nightwing
flashpoint actually sounds really predictable. lol
