State your unpopular book or music related opinion

I think Justin Beiber is legitimately talented. He can hold a tune and is a skilled songwriter. It's a shame his d-bag personality usually overshadows all that. I look forward to picking up his new CD this week.

On the other hand, I think Beyonce's voice is absolutely horrible, bordering on unlistenable, and it baffles my mind as to why she's the one pop star nearly every other pop star aspires to be.

Music: I've always thought Eminem was overrated. Granted, I like some of his songs, but the majority of his music just sounds extremely psycho and violent and misogynistic.

Books: I never liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I would not even put The Stand in my top 10 favorite Stephen King books.

I find that some of Kings books are long just to be long. He adds a few hundred pages to things that could be over halfway. He must have worked out a way to get paid by the word.

I like Adele but I really hate being TOLD how great some artist is by every critic/blogger/clickbait site on the planet. It annoyed the sh** out of me when they did it with Kanye West and it's annoying me now with Adele.

The Stand is greatly overrated.

Act 1- 8/10
Act 2- 6/10
Act 3- 4/10

The characters arent even that interesting, and the story doesn't justify the ridiculous page count. I really really like the first third when the world is going to ****, but when the characters reach Mother Abigail the story takes a nosedive. After that its folks playing at small town politics, Harold being a complete **** head, Nadine longing for Flagg penis, and Flagg acting like a dumbass egotist on a power trip.

Unpopular Alice Cooper opinions:

1. Constrictor isn't that bad. Teenage Frankenstein, Life and Death of the Party and He's Back (the man behind the mask) are catchy songs. Especially Teenage Frankenstein. I wanted to remove that song from my brain with a screwdriver once.

2. Along Came a Spider and Welcome 2 my Nightmare aren't very good albums.

Off-topic (scary story alert! Well, not really):

The song "Gail" really disturbed me when I first listened to it late at night. I suddenly (for some unexplained reason) began to suspect that Alice Cooper actually had murdered a woman called Gail and buried her. He sang his own confession.

I know that it's not the case, but the song made me paranoid.

Flagg had a good arc in The Dark Tower. It fits perfectly with his reveal in Wizard and Glass.

I thought I wrote a post about Dark Tower after the one about Alice Cooper, but I guess something happened with my connection. Thanks for reminding me! Anyway:

After reading the excellent Christine and the fantastic (well, most of it) Nightmares and Dreamscapes, I tried to read the first Dark Tower book, but gave up after 80 pages or so. Did Stepen King do drugs when he wrote it? It felt like my IQ lowered for every page I read. It almost killed my love for books!

Yes, I think so.

I had the same experience reading the Dragonlance Chronicles , The Dragonbone Chair, Eddings' Belgariad and Feist's Magician: Apprentice. I went from one to the next and almost decided fantasy might not be for me. Since these were consistently recommended to me.

I don't like Chaol from Throne of Glass, I don't understand why a lot of people like him.

I gravitated more towards Prince Dorian a lot more, and his scenes with Celaena was better than her scenes with Chaol.

I think Tool is beyond boring. In every song I hear I keep waiting for all the musical talent people drone on about, but it never comes.

1. I don't like Nine Inch Nails...horrible. Pretentious donkey dung.

2. Cradle of Filth is...filth. I know dogs that can make better music with their butts. One positive thing about Cradle of **** is the unintentional comedy:funny:

3. Katy Perry is annoying.

4. Don't know if I've said it earlier, or if it's unpopular, but Manowar is hilariously bad:funny: I used to listen to their songs a lot as a teenager, but suddenly I realized that "wow, this is pretty silly". The songs are repetitive as hell...do you know how you make a Manowar song? Easy, just add the words steel, fight, kill, slay, die, enemies, true metal and murder the instruments.

The homoerotic cover art is even more entertaining.

i hate Drake's version of Hotline Bling but love Amy Vaschals version

it's unpopular to the media that hates on her, but i really like Taylor's 1989 album.

I have a soft spot for Limp Bizkit (mainly due to Wes Borland).

Megadeth is overrated, as is Anthrax.

I have no problem with amount of time since the last Tool album. It'll be ready when it's ready, and if it never comes then oh well.

1) Mariah Carey should have retried after The Emancipation of Mimi album.

2) I always thought Limp Bizkit was better than Linkin Park.

3) I actually find enjoyment in reading the Twilight books.
