yup
For all you folks who are now Olivia Cooke fans, check out Thoroughbreds. While not amazing, it is a very sharp and clever little pseudo-thriller that came out I want to say in February. Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl is also excellent, mind you she mostly plays (dying) manic pixie dream girl in that.
.

That climax battle is the stuff of dreams for fanboys everywhere!
Wtf?? Ya'll are openly posting the surprise cameos !!!!!!!!! Don't spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it yet.![]()

If this was still a few days after release, I'd get it but it's been out for almost two weeks. People who haven't seen it yet should know the risk when they come into the thread.
Possible plot hole
Are there no safe zones in the Oasis? IOI just showed up at the dance club and started shooting everyone. If they could do that why wouldn't they just normally shoot all the gunters to cull the competition?
That climax battle is the stuff of dreams for fanboys everywhere! As a newer gen Gundam fan, I was never really into the OG Mobile Suit Gundam series (too oldschool for me), with my fav being series being Gundam 00, but this made me want to pick up a PG RX-78-2.

Hunter, I am right there with you man.I saw it yesterday and I think it's a bit of a modern classic, it made me feel like Spielberg's movies did as a kid, it wasn't just the nostalgia factor, but the whole adventure vibe of it felt like the modern day equivelant of the movies I grew up on, while being completely relevant to the present and a really immersive slice of sci fi with some clever concepts within it's premise, I loved it.

I kind of agree. I don't love it as much as his best films or some of the best '80s adventures it evokes (BTTF for example). But it is really good. I guess time will tell whether kids today growing up loving it as much as I grew up loving, say, Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones. But I hope so, because it has some of that old school wonder that has really died out in modern blockbusters.

Yeah same, its deeper than people give it credit for as well as it has some interesting things to say about modern society with people interacting more online instead of the real world.
