Lol come on matey.
That's what they think. Said how his career came full circle with a bit of CG in JP to a bit of actual people in this one.

Hey, at least it's relevant with younger generations being sold their parents' nostalgia.
Nostalgia without nuance.
Spectacle without substance.
Spielberg is starting to fall off I'm afraid.

Starting to fall off? lol. Spielberg fell off a long time ago and this is the most old-school Spielbergian movie he's done in ages.
It's a D-Box view.

Agree. D-Box makes every experience better and the D-Box didn't disappoint (like The Force Awakens did).
Not even one tiny little bit.is this a 3-D view or not necessary?
I don't expect him to ever make another Raiders, Ryan or ET. To expect Schindler's List just feels really unfair. But even with him not being "that guy", I find it really odd the idea that he fell off a cliff in some way. His output has been well over average these last two decades imo.I'm not sure Spielberg ever fell that far for me. He's not making a new Schindler's List every year but Bridge of Spies, Lincoln, War Horse, Tintin, Munich etc. are all solid films.
Yea the 3D doesn't add much if anything. It doesn't pop even within the Oasis.
Right there with you.I'm not sure Spielberg ever fell that far for me. He's not making a new Schindler's List every year but Bridge of Spies, Lincoln, War Horse, Tintin, Munich etc. are all solid films.
Well Said.Spielberg reached transcendent level a long time ago to the point where he made so many consecutive classics at this point it's unfair to be relative. The man never fell off. He's just made different films and grown and they're great in their own right. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the old Spielberg here which gives me so much delight the more it sinks in. Turns out despite being older, he can still tap into that wonder we all loved him for, yet he executed them by means of being the more grown filmmaker post Schindler's List which is fascinating.
