Sorry dude, but I will never stop saying that X3 sucks as long as I can.

It's like telling the people who lost their loved ones and families to stop protesting against the Iraq War.
WOW. :down
You are taking this movie a little too seriously.
Just...WOW. :down

No, you're not, but the ridiculousness of this: needed to be addressed. How old are you? 15? Get real. You can not compare your anger and bitterness about X3 with the grief, betrayal and anger families that lost kin over in Iraq feel. You have got to see that; if nothing else, realize the ludicrous nature of that comment.

You want to b*tch about the movie, fine, I've already said I would sit here and laugh, but not egg the complainers on. However, when the mentality becomes so skewed I had to say something. It's just wrong on so many levels.

You said you would just sit here and laugh, but not egg about the comlainers? But why did you have a post here like this. You are also whiner, so if you're irritated then that's not my problem.:marv:

Your absolutely right. Why in the world would I assume that there would a courtesy extended and respect between posters on the board? My bad. How foolish of me to think common sense would prevail and the whiners would realize that "hey, it's a movie. A done movie. B*tch all you want, it ain't changin'."

Leaving the board isn't an issue, i barely come on anymore as it is, because intelligent discourse is swallowed by fanboy ranting. But the point is, that I should not have to. Nor should anyone else who doesn't see X3 as the frikkin' anti-christ of movies.

Do I think it's a great film? No. I disliked the first two as well. But I'm not busting my ass to point out all the flaws either. You weren't satisfied, well boo-hoo. Complain and move on with the topic. The same tired arguements are ridiculous. I'm all for diversity of opinions, but the nay sayers are such catty little wenches who assume anyone that doesn't want to mount Rothman and Ratner to an Iron Maiden must be stupid and ignorant makes me laugh.

Poor little unhappy souls. Poor unfortunate babes that will never get the movie they want and are too ingrained in their own misery and joyous nit-picking that they can't appreciate the fact that they got any movie at all is kinda sad. i should buy them all puppies. They could name them Fox, Ratner, rothman and Penn and kick them to feel better.

Yep, that's what I'll do.

What kind of puppy do you want?

If you're gonna quote, do it right. That little snippet came before I said that I would be quietly mocking the "zealous ones".

Now, I don't care if you complain, that isn't the point. Try and follow, I know it's hard, but I'm leaving glowing breadcrumbs, ok?

You compared fanboy outrage with that of grieving families. THAT is the point at which this conversation began. You with me? Ok. And it is THAT point in which the mentality of the "zealous" becomes otherwordly skewed and needs to be addressed and pointed out as the unbelievable igorance that it is. Still with me? (somehow I doubt it, but ehn...)

Reason and comprehension are valuable life skills. Invest in developing them for future use, mmmkay? Buh-bye.

This is my answer.:marv:
Marvel and DC used their comics once to show what they feel. I don't have a copy of that comic right now. But I remember seeing Captain America beating some Nazi and Superman saying that you can slap a Jap, and there is also a new comics called "Batman Holy Terror" and it will highlight Batman vs Al Qaeda.

And look at your sig, it just proves that you're also ignorant.

*sigh* *palms forehead*

You just don't get it, do you?

First let's start with the basics: ig·no·rant
adj.
  1. Lacking education or knowledge.
  2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
  3. Unaware or uninformed.
I am not uninformed nor unaware of what my signature represents. I am openly disdainful of the fanboy mentality. Again, that borders arrogance, not ignorance. I know my flaws. I'm adjusted to having them.

Now if you seriosly can not see the asanine nature of your comment, then there really is no help for you and you have my deepest sympathies. Life will be very hard for you.

Thanks for taking time to tell what is the meaning of ig-no-rant. Because it would be useful to you.

I called you ignorant because you're also uninformed/unaware that your posts and your sig is disrespectful.

What I'm trying to tell you is that, the comics writers write their comics to show what they feel in real life like "Humans and Mutants", you can compare that to "Christians and Muslims" who have been fighting for thousands of years. Maybe it's hard for you to admit but comics are disguised reality, there are lots of people out there like me that can relate to the comics.

And I'm happy that you have sympathies for me, but I have a good life.:)

An appalling over-reaction. And grossly insensitive too.

Please break through your bubble into the real world.

If you call me insensitive then you might aswell call all the writers of DC and Marvel insensitive, DC is making a "Batman Holy Terror" comic book to show their disgust on Muslim Terrorists, they know that if Muslims read it, it will cause more trouble but they are still doing it. If you want proof then visit IGN. I am just open minded. :marv:

You should really let others do the "complaining."
There is a difference between a comic book taking place in a real-world setting and a fan reacting to a movie as if a loved one has been killed in war. Do you see the difference?
Like I said, you are taking this movie too seriously. Or the line between reality and fiction for you is blurred. I dunno which, but...WOW. :down

Well to be fair you can't compare a movie with a real life tragedy. X-Men 3 is not as bad as 9/11, the Iraq war, or even the war in Lebanon.

But, the reason why we(X-Men fans) are complaining is that we feel robbed.

I understand some of you think the film is great, and that's fine, but don't insult us or our intelligence if we don't feel the same way. We feel that after a three years waiting for this movie, an ultimate payoff should've happened to the 100th extent degree.

But did that pay-off happen? For some it did, for others it didn't. I'm part of the pack who didn't feel satisfied by the overall product of this film. Could it have been done with more time, focus, and less politics? No doubt in my mind. Fox rushed this movie out to beat Superman Returns, and as far as I'm concerned, the movie suffered because it was based on money, greed, politics, and petty revenge.

Some Fox loyalists, Wolverine loyalists, and Rothman loyalists laugh and accuse us of being conspiracy theorists. Give us a break, you mean to tell me this film would've been released had Singer not got on SR? I bet if SR wasn't supposed to come out for another two years Fox would be sitting on their asses still.

For Ratner, Penn, and Kinberg to say this is "Our Return of the King" is just outright laughable. I don't care if it was an analogy or a metaphor, but to mention this film in the same breath as Return of the King? All I can do is laugh at the sheer stupidity that was on their minds.

So for those who enjoyed the film, that's awesome. I'm glad you found it more enjoyable than myself and others. But it just didn't do it for me as an X-Men film. No one is saying it's on the level of CINO, Batman and Robin, Doom, or even Elektra. Hell, X3 is not even a horrible film. It's decent/average at best, however it could've been so much better with the potential it possessed.

Some are not willing to just accept anything. So either accept that some didn't like this movie, or leave to the Xverse where all negative comments are screened and deleted.

I agree with you LastSunrise1981, I felt angry when I first watch X-men 3 on my PC.

But I disagree about when you say that we can't compare it in real life. The writers get ideas from real life and they put it into comicbooks or movies so people can relate.

This is my last post for now.

I liked the movie...but I know it was flawed and I know it certainly didn't end up having the same epic impact as RoTK. The script may, however, have been more 'grand', with the Phoenix entrance at Alcatraz and other stuff that they didn't have the time/money to include.

Agreed. that is going a bit too far.

But, the reason why we(X-Men fans) are complaining is that we feel robbed.

This isn't art for art's sake after all. This film wasn't released for charity or due to FOX's good hearts. We have to pay to see the movie. And as consumers, if we have to spend money on something and don't feel satisfied, then that gives us the right to express our dissatisfaction and to complain. And to keep complaining until we get something that's closer to what we want. It works in all other markets and it applies to the entertainment industry as well. Batman Begins as you stated is an excellent example of this. The producers want people to just hand their money over and shut up, but it's only feedback like this that can help make a difference by letting them know that the quality is not what we expected and that it needs to improve.
I understand some of you think the film is great, and that's fine, but don't insult us or our intelligence if we don't feel the same way. We feel that after a three years waiting for this movie, an ultimate payoff should've happened to the 100th extent degree.

Correct. To some of us, the hype that was wrapped around the film failed to meet our expectations. I wasn't expecting the greatest thing since sliced bread, but looking at the storylines that were supposed to be presented, I was hoping for something more deep and engaging than the previous 2 films.
Some Fox loyalists, Wolverine loyalists, and Rothman loyalists laugh and accuse us of being conspiracy theorists. Give us a break, you mean to tell me this film would've been released had Singer not got on SR? Conspiracy to the point that FOX management planned for things to be the way they turned out in advance, which they did since the day they announced production of the film right after Singer left. If that's known as a conspiracy, then so be it.
For Ratner, Penn, and Kinberg to say this is "Our Return of the King" is just outright laughable. I don't care if it was an analogy or a metaphor, but to mention this film in the same breath as Return of the King? All I can do is laugh at the sheer stupidity that was on their minds.
That is laughable, yes. Could it have been on the level of Return of the King? I don't doubt that. But what was released certainly was not.

Some are not willing to just accept anything. So either accept that some didn't like this movie, or leave to the Xverse where all negative comments are screened and deleted.

Really? It's that bad over there?

As of right now your right to complain is revoked. On your PC? You didn't even pay? Gimme a break. It's one thing to feel robbed PAYING for a movie that falls short of expectations, it's another to b*tch when you STEAL it.

I'm not saying don't DL the thing--I own it as well. But I did pay to see it in the theatres.

I understand the gripes and complaints, it wasn't what I'd have hoped for as a movie myself. Especially considering my love of RoLo, buuuut there's a limit to how much negativity that should be spewed as a result. It's not just the complaining, it's the attacking anyone who doesn't see this film as atrocious and stupid comments like "It's the same as telling people to stop protesting the Irag war after they lose a loved one". Come on, duhr. no, no it is not.

Woh...this thread has gotten WAYYY outta control.

And there are no moderators here? I mean, just to calm down a bit.

Who knew a comic book movie could stir up such emotions, personally I think everyone is taking this too far. I wasn't happy with the movie either but acting like it was "The Passion of the Christ" won't do you any good.

OK, so are we all in agreement that THAT was one of the dumbest, insensitive comments about a comic book movie that can possibly be made?

Thank you, Hulkster...for bringing a brief moment of unity to the boards.
