Well, I've heard a mix of opinions as to who should have won on the battle between these two beautiful ladies, Storm and Valkyrie.

The images were awesome! : )

what do you think about the fight?

Good. Val won, as she should have. Storm is way overrated.

Storm is very overrated, she's no powerhouse. As a hand to hand combatant, she's a handful but her powers have been made out to be more than they should be.

Well Val is a match for Wonder Woman. She deserves that status in MU. Hopefully she is finally getting the attention she has long deserved.

That's actually how i'd imagine it should go. Storm can dish out the shots, but she can't take them. She's a "glass cannon". Normal human durability. Surprised Val didn't decapitate her honestly :D

"Glass cannon" is a good term for Storm. Her fight with Valkyrie was well done, given how tough Brunnhilde is and the fact that all she needs on Ororo is one solid hit to put her down. I'm hoping Ororo's fight against Thor in AvX goes even quicker. Ideally, I'd love to see Thor just override her weather control completely, since his should easily trump hers, but that might be a bit much if they actually want the fight to be interesting.

They always have to make Thor fight at less than his full capacity in these things or he'd end the entire series himself. All Thor really needs the Avengers for is to bring him wenches and mead.

Jesus, that hit should've straight out killed Storm haha.

Well, they've got a good answer to Thor for AvX: the Phoenix. It's a given that Thor's team will fail to stop the Phoenix from reaching Earth, but even knowing that, it's still the part of AvX I'm most excited to see. Thor, Captain Britain, the Vision, Beast, Valkyrie, and some other heavy-hitters cruising through space looking to beat the crap out of the Phoenix. Pretty cool.

It's pretty obvious Valkyrie won that battle. Nuff said.

Getting smashed through a wooden dock from that height should have broken every bone in Ororo's body though. :yay:

Though looking closer, it's possible Val grabbed her, pulled her close, and took the impact herself...

That's the kind of thing Valkyrie would do. Plus, Brunnhilde probably would've seen a death glow on Ororo if anything were going to kill her.

Haha, I was thinking of pointing out the slight overstatement there, but I figured I'd let the Val fans have their moment.

Hey, there's having a moment and then there's stating outright lies. :o

Who knows, though? Val's been portrayed as She-Thor more and more lately. Maybe her power level's climbing simply because she's getting used a lot more, like Luke Cage's did.

She's still got a ways to go if she wants to be in Wondie's league.

True. She just got stabbed by a Super-Adaptoid in Secret Avengers and had to run away. Sad. :o
