That's just really stupid especially in today's world
on abc7 he didn't sound apologetic about it. it sounded like he thought the schoolboard overreacted and he shouldn't have been suspended.L
Besides it's a five day suspension. His GPA will survive and he will learn a valuable lesson. Not every idea that pops into his head should be acted out.

word, yeah. it wasn't funny. and he's also a senior, so he's like 17/18, so it's just immature.Well he is a teen so maybe I was expecting too much. If he had pulled that stunt in a school where a victim of a suicide bomber had went he'd have probably had his ass kicked.
Three members of the University of Floridas Zeta Beta Tau fraternity have been expelled from the campus chapter after they allegedly spit on and hurled beer bottles at veterans attending a retreat at Panama City Beach. Some were apparently seen peeing on veterans American flags.
The Zeta Beta Tau chapters of University of Florida and Emory University were at the Laketown Wharf Resort in Panama City Beach last weekend to hold their annual, joint spring formal. Veterans had also convened at the resort for Warrior Beach Retreat, held for about 60 vets who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
On Friday, vets say, members of UFs Zeta Beta Tau chapter were seen spitting on veterans, throwing beer bottles at them from their hotel room balconies, ripping flags off their cars, and insulting them for wearing caps and T-shirts. Some Zeta Beta Taus were also apparently seen peeing on American flags.
One vet, Nicholas Connole, told WFTV, They actually spit on me and my service dog as well, and thats just so disrespectful and it hurts. I come and I feel honored and I feel safe and that I belong, but now I feel like Im defending myself.
Linda Cope, founder of Warrior Beach Retreat, told the the Gainesville Sun that once frat members got out of control, she called police and hotel security, who were able to get them to stop. They apologized to me in person, but only because they got caught, she said.
The fraternity chapter, the Sun reports, was already on probation at the universitysince last fall, for a hazing incidentwhen they allegedly vandalized the veterans flags and spit on them. The frat has since suspended operations at the University of Florida. No Emory University students have been implicated in the incident; the university has launched its own investigation.
The incidents and behavior you and others have described (in letters and phone calls) and the offense to the wounded warriors and other guests are unacceptable, University of Florida president Kent Fuchs wrote in a letter to Warrior Beach Retreat. We are pursuing an investigation of the matter to learn more about the involvement of University of Florida students and whether disciplinary action will be needed.
The great thing about America is you can say pretty much anything you want, if you pay a filing fee. Like this Georgia lady who was so dissatisfied with the outcome of her case, she filed a duly executed Notice to F*** This Court and Everything that it Stands For.
The original federal complaint, concerning the arrest of Tamah Jada Clarks husband and subsequent custody issues with her child, had major issues to begin with.
So it wasnt surprising the case was thrown out by Judge Willis B. Hunt, Jr., apparently on the grounds that her husband had not signed a complaint that was supposed to represent both parents.
More surprising is the unlikely support the brief has received. They say a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client, but I dont know about this lady.

A Michigan woman has been arraigned on murder and child abuse charges after giving birth at her office and putting her newborn child in a plastic bag in her desk, the Detroit Free Press reports. Kimberly Pappas, 25, told police that she had had a miscarriage, but the autopsy concluded the death was a homicide by suffocation.
Pappas gave birth in the bathroom of her workplace, Ceva Logistics, where she was a temporary-service employee, before returning to her desk, My Fox Detroit reported earlier this month. Her coworkers had heard moaning coming from the bathroom and found blood on the floor.
The womans coworkers called 911, MLive reports. The babywho Pappas had put in a drawer of her desk, inside sealed plastic bag (itself inside a tote bag)was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Pappas, facing charges of felony murder, premeditated murder and first-degree child abuse, appeared in court Friday by video arraignment and was denied bond.
Defense attorney Ray Cassar told the Free Press that she has been in therapy for mental-health issues. I dont think she understands whats going on, he said.
Pappas will undergo a competency evaluation and is scheduled to return to court in June.
When congressional Republicans ignored President Obamas call for universal Pre-K, it wasnt too big of a surprise. GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill have a variety of policy priorities, most of which focus on slashing public investments, not increasing them. The public seemed to like the White Houses idea, but it was quickly forgotten inside the Beltway in the face of Republican indifference.
At the state level, however, some policymakers, including many on the right, nevertheless take the issue at least somewhat seriously. Even in Texas, one of the reddest of the red states, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has made this a priority, telling lawmakers in Austin in February, We must improve early education.
As the Texas Associated Press reported, theres apparently some disagreement on the issue.
Advisers to Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick described a major bipartisan pre-K initiative as socialist and keeping children in a Godless environment in a letter sent to lawmakers Tuesday.
The letter was a rebuke over a preschool push being led by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, whose office responded by defending its plan while not addressing the criticism. It was written by a grassroots advisory board of conservative activists that Patrick, a tea party leader, assembled upon taking office in January.
We are experimenting at great cost to taxpayers with a program that removes our young children from homes and half-day religious preschools and mothers day out programs to a Godless environment with only evidence showing absolutely NO LONG-TERM BENEFITS beyond the 1st grade, the letter said.
The lieutenant governors hand-picked panel went on to compare preschool to programs historically promoted in socialistic countries, not free societies which respect parental rights.
Its important to emphasize that Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) says he didnt know what his advisory board was up to and the panels condemnation was unsolicited.
Ed Kilgore had a good take on this.
This may seem rudimentary to some folk, but its important nonetheless: no matter what arguments conservatives come up with to resist or oppose this or that effort to improve public education, the threshold question to ask them is whether they believe in public education at all. Its really not something you can take for granted these days, and Im not being snarky about this or adopting some ideological definition of believe in or public. [ ]
Regular old K-12 public schools also remove children from religious schools, or from home-schooling, or from other Godly Environments. So theres nothing you can do to placate these people on education issues, other than agreeing to abolish public schools altogether.
I had the same reaction to the Texas story. In fact, as we discussed in February, a surprising number of Republican candidates and media figures have suggested that public schools simply should not exist, and Dan Patricks far-right advisory board seems to be thinking along these lines.
As for the dispute in Austin, lets also not forget that Texas Republican governor isnt exactly pushing a progressive, ambitious idea: Abbott doesnt even want to expand access or eligibility to preschool in the state to the disappointment of Democrats who hoped for a broader policy, the governor is only talking about spending a little more to improve existing programs.
Its hardly the stuff of socialistic countries.
Scottie Pippen, NBA hall of famer and the Drake to Michael Jordans Jay Z (source: Drake) has a 20-year-old daughter, Sierra. Sierra attends the University of Iowa, which is located near the Iowa City Sheraton Hotel. That is where Sierra, allegedly drunk, urinated on a lobby floor.
When police arrived at the hotel early Sunday morning, Pippens speech was slurred, she smelled of alcohol, and she was off-balance, according to an arrest report obtained by The Smoking Gun. The arresting officers add that she was wearing two bar wristbands and refused to take a sobriety test, instead accusing them of being racist. And of course, that whole peeing on the floor thing.
She was charged with public urination and public intoxication, and posted $500 bond.
There was apparently already some bad blood between Sierra and the Iowa City Sheraton staff: she was also arrested at the hotel for public intoxication two weeks prior, after getting into a verbal altercation with security. Could this be a revenge pissing? The police report declines to speculate.
On Twitter, Sierra notes, Im More Than Scottie Pippens daughter. Im Me Sierra Pippen
Scottie Pippen did not allegedly pee on the floor.
Sierra did. Her. Sierra Pippen.
She is her own person.
Tonight a reader tipped us off to a video posted by comic Tamale Rocks, who uncovered a two-way mirror in the womens bathroom at Chicago bar Cigars and Stripes.
