I just came to this realization over in the TDK boards. Was this loose end ever resolved in a novelization or something?

They were there for everything, they know all that Riddler discovered about Bruce.

Two-Face falls to his death, Riddler goes nuts, but what happens to these two? They just kind of scamper off into the back.

I usually don't obsess over holes like this, but it just happened to hit me like a ton of bricks all of a sudden.

I thought about this too. We'll never know.

Also, Schumacher argued that Two-Face survived and that is why his suit is in Arkham, but that is off-topic.

You shouldn't refer to Sugar and Spice like this man. :D

Maybe thay just dissappeared or where taken to jail

they blackmailed bruce and now live comfortably in south america :o

Hahahaha, good point though, they knew everything. Hmmm, interesting.

Agreed though, Schumacher figured Two-Face survived, hence the suit in B+R.

I don't know, but both of those girls looked delicious in that movie.

BB did the same thing. The WHOLE League of shadows knew Batman was Bruce Wayne. Nobody ever brings that up. When you think about it almost everyone knew Wayne was Batman. Rachel, Lucius, of course Alfred, but not Jim. The clues would fit together Bruce wayne was declared dead for seven years. It would make sense what he was doing those seven years. That he was training himself to protect and fight for Chicago City(sarcasm). He shows up around the same time Batman does. Batman has technology only Wayne Enterprises could create. He has the motive to be Batman his parents were murdered and Gordon was even there to comfort Wayne after the incident. Then the way Batman is all over getting Rachel help when she was poisoned because Wayne and Rachel were childhood friends. He also brought her name up when he talked to Gordon for the first time. Then Wayne's house was burned down the same night by the same guys (League of Shadows) who were terrorising Chicago City with fear gas. Also he saw a little bit of Wayne's unfinished batsuit just before he jumped off the roof to know that suit can only be designed by WE. Wow interesting that nobody's brought that up before now. Oh well.

Sugar and Spice died of Cancer actually, they got it from being exposed to a combination of Black-lights/Nygma's brain Drain Machine.. (I mean seriously, that thing looked like it generated a ****load of radiation.)

Even the Bulldog from Batman Forever, (yeah the one getting "brain drained" along with all the other wretched pinhead, puppets of Gotham) reappeared healthy in Batman & Robin (and also got frozen by Mr. Freeze in this case as well).
So there was definately opportune time for some blackmail even if Sugar and Spice succumbed to Cancer. :D

LOL, I'll take that explaination.

And another thing-

Didn't the laser lights that turned the batsignal into a question mark originate from the Nygmatech building? Did Gordon the Genuis ever put it together? Did the conversation continue like so..? -

"Who the hell's doing that?"

"The Riddler."

"Where is it coming from?"

"Why..that ominous tower on an island of it's own! You know, the corporate headquarters of that 3-D television box, owned by E. Nyg...

DAMNIT!!"

I guess not, because he was ready to just throw in the towel before Batman flew in and gave him the thumbs up.

Gordon in the Burton and Schumacher films is ridiculously inept. I mean, this IS the same guy who actually attempted to push the fallen bell from the cathedral in Batman 1989. :o

I'd say his best moment (Portrayl Wise) from the 4 films is moment in Batman 89 when he said "I'm in charge here, not Carl Grissom!" and "I want him taken alive, anyone who opens fire will answer to me!" Other than that he pretty much stands around and does nothing every movie.

I love how Pat Hingle looked almost insane in his interview for the Batman SE dvd. "One of those cloud people waaaaaay up derr!"

bruce lured them both into a 3 way and killed them in their sleep. did the same thing to chase meridian. and vicki vale.

Women in the Batman Franchise are like chairs, they're in the scenes but no one cares about them and in the next one there is a completely new set without even a note or mention of them.

1939 Comics, Gordon was so lazy and he was part Dinosaur.

And why would a director choose a lousy characterization over a strong one? Gordon had long established himself as a badass by the time Burton made Batman.

Same with Batman and his casual regard for murder. Why use such antiquated and long obsolete characterizations? Especially when he didn't do the same for Joker; there was barely a hint of 30s Joker, it was almost entirely the modern characterization.

The same guy who took two girls on a date is Batman? Impossible.

Gordon's characterization in the old movies is possibly the worst bit, why use him as a stupid blimp? By the 80's he was firmly established as the clever cop who could do most things.

Oh well...
