Suicide Songs: The Soundtrack for The Suicide Squad Movie

Tarantino is like the only director that could take a mash up of 2Pac and James Brown and put it in a late 1850s setting and making it come off so.....oddly awesome.

So true, his movies always have several odd music choices that never should've worked, but in spite of logic work brilliantly.

Since the movie is all about the anti-hero or just straight up villains...

Holy Diver - Dio

Enter Sandman - Metallica

Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums - A Perfect Circle

City - Hollywood Undead

Panic Switch - Silversun Pickups

B.Y.O.B. - System Of A Down

The Game - Disturbed

Sweet Dreams - Marilyn Manson

Hourglass - S U R V I V E

Probably could think of some more but that's all I got right now.

/Thread. That is THE song for the Suicide Squad. I'm just picturing what the climax for the film could be like under Ayer's adrenaline-infused direction to that song....

Amanda Waller's theme song. :o

I think we have our perfect Sucide Squad theme song....

Hands In the Sky - Straylight Run
post the 2 min mark...

I could totally see Deadshot, Boomer and Waller doing the dramatic slow walk away during Flagg's funereal to this.

There's always the reliable Short Changed Hero by The Heavy....I think it fits SS pretty well. At the very least, I can see it be used in the trailers.

This one is probably good for some end credits...

^Damn Kane... I hope Ayers is viewing this thread.

I wonder who's going to score this movie? Maybe David Ayer can bring back Steven Price to score it? I know Price is doing Ant-Man right now.

Hah, I hope so.

I know Gotham already used it for one of their promos, but Ticking Bomb by Aloe Blacc could also work really well with SS.

This is in the SUICIDE SQUAD film from an alternate universe where Refn is the director. :word:

Well known from a commercial for a video game and just a great song all around, CAGE THE ELEPHANT's AINT NO REST FOR THE WICKED. I could see this being used when the team is casing a target or getting their weapons and costumes ready for the big battle. [YT]JX0I77cebXA[/YT]

The Glitch Mob's remix of Seven Nation Army by White Stripes would be a great choice if it wasn't already beaten to death by trailers and whatnot.

Maybe Sovereign by Kavinsky?

Actually, I could see Kavinsky doing the score and it being really in line with the vibe a SS should have.

Here's a track I adore, but know would never be used since Page and Plant are pretty protective of Zep's legacy and they rarely if ever allow their music to be used in films. Jack Black had to record a special plea to Page to get him to sign off on the use of IMMIGRANT SONG in SCHOOL OF ROCK. Still, I could see using GALLOWS POLE in the film. Maybe during a fake out execution, like was done in JLU for Deadshot, or maybe a team member gets captured and after some debate, the Squad decides to go get them and this is playing as they make the breakout.

Hire Trent Reznor or Massive Attack to do work on the soundtrack. Has to be dark, edgy, with some epic feel to it.

When the Squad is in ACTION! (Prefer the soundtrack to be more of Industrial genre!)

Powerman 5000 - BOMBSHELL!

KMFDM - MEGOLOMANIAC!

Pitchshifter - MICROWAVED!

Econoline Crush - THE DEVIL YOU KNOW!

And this would be EXTREMELY COOL too if they ever included this one. It has that SINISTER motifs to it.

!Trash Yourself - F' The Police

"Hell Raiser" by The Sweet would be a cool Harley song

Here's one out of left field...

"Intermezzo No. 1" by ABBA.

[YT]b6kShipYwCk[/YT]

Here's a song someone used for a Joker tribute video and it works 100%. Lyrics are pretty dark.

"Smiling Like a Killer" by Motörhead

[YT]eq07IKQBKQs[/YT]

Certain sections of "The Trial" by Pink Floyd would be PERFECT for Joker and/or Harley..... 2:45 to 3:25.

[YT]4fa7AtI1msk[/YT]

How awesome would it be if the movie ended on a Joker-note and this song carried on through the credits?

"I'm Going Slightly Mad" by Queen

[YT]I76RLpNAnYQ[/YT]

How about...

"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police

[YT]KOgc-9ThmmQ[/YT]

This one might be too on the nose

"Psycho Circus" by KISS

[YT]gUKYLg65Sw8[/YT]

I'm focusing way too much on Joker and Harley here but eh.

Some great choices, especially Queen.:up:

For any of the One on One fight scene!

Traci Lords - Control (Juno Reactor Instrumental)

Ready Aim Fire by Blue Stahli. It would make a nice trailer song.
