Nah, they make games because it's their job and they like what they do. They don't want to update everything because, in my opinion, they want to keep in-tact the best parts of the old game while improving other areas such as the graphics and the animation. The music is something that is usually further down the line, but is one of the more memorable aspects of the original game, so, I would think that's why they don't think it's worth changing.
I'm fine with them keeping the music. A lot of the times when original music gets updated or remixed, not everyone is okay with it.

Update with T. Hawk and a preview of Sagat with an explanation on how they can bulk up the Characters without messing up the hit detection.

T. Hawk looks good. The detail in the belt buckle is a pleasant surprise. The proportions seemed to have carried over from the original sprite, but it appears that they shrunk down the head.
I beleive they are actual sprites and no release date other than FallSweet mother of mercy o.o are these just drawing concepts of what the sprite will look like, or is that the actual sprite? If so, mother of god....wow...looks way better than even Guilty Gear...
is there any word on a potential release date for XBOX Live or PS Network?
or the only one...lolWho would have thought that a little downloadable title would be the next big step in 2D fighting?
I believe they are retiring it after this.

do we even have at least a tentative release date?why won't they announce a release date already?!

i thought it would play a lil bit more fluid, i think this is nothing more than a nostalgia boost.
