Superman (2025) Rotten Tomatoes Thread

87% now at 83 reviews. Going to stick to my 82% after it clocks in over 100 reviews.

Anything above 80% is a huge win.

I'm honestly more concerned about the content of these reviews. Many of them are giving it high high praise.

That means a better likelihood of strong WOM.

Alright nice start with 85 reviews in. Now just gotta hope that there's no WW84 type nosedive.

Certified fresh. I'm thinking this ends up around 85 - 86%.

Again, Rotten Tomatoes is a flawed system. We cannot hang out hats on it, only use it a general gauge.

But I am curious, historically, how much the percentages change after a film gets a 100 reviews. 1-5 percentage points? 5-10%?
Yes but the people out there who don’t care to educate themselves on that stuff just look for that big number next to the name and poster

And unfortunately thinking for themselves isn’t a very strong suit for people these days, regardless of these “scores”

Interesting to note, a lot of the negative reviews so far have been from UK critics.

I wonder if this something Superman related, comic book related, both?

I think this lands on a solid 80%. Either way this movie is fresh AF yall.

Mid 80's would be great. That's Batman Begins/The Batman territory. Either way, it's Certified Fresh and we can all breath easy. Gunn has pulled it off.

This stuff still gives butterflies in my stomach all lol :legacy:

I think we can conclude it’s pretty stable at this point. I think 10% is a pretty conservative upper bound on how much it might swing.

Either way, after WB’s constant fumbling with Superman, this feels a bit surreal to see these numbers come in. Like many of you, I’ve been waiting for this for over 20 years.

Just went back up from 86 to 87 pre 100 reviews.

What are the odds it returns to the 90 percentile?

It’s hilarious to me that one of those embargo-breaking opinions that dissed it was from Variety, who had a different critic writing about it and loved it so their review is fresh, and then one of the first leaked positives was from The Times, who ALSO had a different critic review it and they’ve given the most negative review I’ve seen thus far. :funny:

Anyway, breathing a sigh of relief. It’s all gravy from here for me. Ready to enjoy and hope the audience reception follows suit! :legacy:
