Pretty cool news! Ditched my assumption that Tyler would be killed off in the Crisis ala Supergirl in the comics. If that had happened, I thought it would have been great to have Routh pulling double duty as Atom
and KC Superman in later seasons!
That being said, I really liked Tyler's portrayal of the role and am really looking forward to what they do with this! Same with Tulloch. (Interesting how both leads have oddly pronounced last names..) I know that in Rebirth, there is a Superman w/ Family who takes the place of Earth 1 Supes (?) so I wonder if we may have something like that, only reversed?
I like the idea of them working in a Girl from Krypton story line, though not with Kara in this instance. Change her out for a teenage Powergirl and that would be super! If they include the Lanters than she could even get a Red Lantern arc, perhaps trading that part of the story instead of the Wonder Woman part of it. Considering that we are going to see a lot of universes die (or merge?) then she could still 'lose' everything she's ever known and thus give birth to that anger/angst that was so good in the New52 run.
And He'l, that would be awesome! But pull it back some Thom, this is Superman's show!
..
We must have the Superman family of Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Strange Visitor, New Superman of China, and Krypto. Maybe have Lana Lang as Superwoman and Sharon Vance as Strange Visitor.
...
I'm always hopeful they'll do a Superwoman on a regular basis. The closest we've gotten, other than Supergirl herself, is Durance's Alura.
Recasts them tbh. Supergirl S1 might as well exists in it's own universe.
I didn't really that actress, so I would be good with a recast. Besides, by now she must have moved on to other roles. If, several years on, she is still available to be Lucy Lane then she's not in very high demand.
do we know if their kid will be a boy or a girl? I haven't really been following the CW shows for the past few years.
it would be interesting if they bucked the trend of giving Clark and Lois a son named Jon, and gave them a daughter instead (named Lara?).
I'm one of those who wouldn't mind if they went that route, but even I can recognize an overabundance of female cast. Plus, I would imagine that most fans would go up in flames!
