Since we'll likely get 1 season of SM/SG airing together...I need the writers to take full advantage. Give me a good 2part/4part crossover of those two. Either do some sort of Apocalypse storyline with either Kara or Kal abducted and brainwashed or The Man Who Had Everything. Dont fail me!

I can do without one of them brainwashed. We already had something similar before with Superman thinking he was fighting Zod.

Haven't they already used Roger Corben Metallo before?

Not sure if they can get away with using Atomic Skull. He might look too similar to Ghost Rider.

well, the original version of of Atomic Skull had a yellow costume and a mask over his skull. probably could get away with it with some kind of Ghost Rider joke.

I hope since Supes and Lois are already together, they don't go with the formula Lois in trouble every week and the case of the week must include both of them. They can have Clark and Lois investigating separate cases for like a 3ep arc. Clark/Supes is some large sci-fi story and Lois is going after some more corrupt businessman/government official.

Comparing cases and helping each other while taking care of the baby.

No they used John Corben Rigee us his brother.

I’m suggesting they will use him or have the budget for him but he’s an option. They could always tweak his look too.

Khyber

H'el

Rogol Zaar

Superboy-Prime

Insect Queen

Doomslayer

Nice I forgot some of those, I’ll add them to the list.

I just hope we see black suit superman again. that was cool!

Mxy was a weird CW miscast. They should just recast and make him more comic accurate.

Which one was he? I don't remember him. I remember the exchange student one from Smallville.

I can’t lie that I wanted a prequel series set at the beginning of Clark’s heroic career as Superman. The idea of a show with Clark and Lois raising a child hasn’t been done on the big or small screen is fresh. So I’m with this and looking forward to the show.

Dark Raven Mxy tried to marry Supergirl, but she was with Mon El at the time. they put him in Hochelin's Superman costume. just weird.

That's not a brainwash to me, I want them fully brainwashed that causes major damage and repercussions for them. Just like in STAS.

Not really a debatable: in his first appearance on Supergirl (“The Adventures of Supergirl,” “The Last Children of Krypton”), Hoechlin made a great first impression. Indeed, viewers and critics alike were tripping over themselves praising his traditional, old-school, Reeve-esque portrayal of both Superman and CK. But in my view, this positive reception was largely based on a unique and rather “idealized” set of circumstances. Essentially, Superman was a famous “guest star” doing a “medley of his greatest hits.”

Honestly, I think Tyler is kinda overrated in the role, specifically for the reasons you described. In addition to that, your Superman is going to look really good when the only other live action Supes is one of the most polarizing versions of the character.

However, the rubber hits the road when producers have to churn out a 22-episode TV season. IOW, we probably shouldn’t expect a sudden uptick in quality or entertainment value from Team Berlanti just because it’s Superman (or just because it’s Hoechlin as Superman).

We'll be lucky if this somehow manages to be Flash S1 Quality.

I
ndeed, one only has to look to Superman’s second appearance on Supergirl (“Resist” and “Nevertheless, She Persisted”) to appreciate that an actor’s portrayal (excellent though it may be) only goes so far. Ultimately, it comes down to the writing - which has never been the Arrowverse’s strong suit. :csad:

Yeah, I never watched Superman's latter appearances on Supergirl, and what I heard about them wasn't very good from the sounds of it.

It's good, if you like to constantly be told how inferior Superman is compared to Supergirl. :hehe:

Pretty cool news! Ditched my assumption that Tyler would be killed off in the Crisis ala Supergirl in the comics. If that had happened, I thought it would have been great to have Routh pulling double duty as Atom and KC Superman in later seasons!

That being said, I really liked Tyler's portrayal of the role and am really looking forward to what they do with this! Same with Tulloch. (Interesting how both leads have oddly pronounced last names..) I know that in Rebirth, there is a Superman w/ Family who takes the place of Earth 1 Supes (?) so I wonder if we may have something like that, only reversed?

I like the idea of them working in a Girl from Krypton story line, though not with Kara in this instance. Change her out for a teenage Powergirl and that would be super! If they include the Lanters than she could even get a Red Lantern arc, perhaps trading that part of the story instead of the Wonder Woman part of it. Considering that we are going to see a lot of universes die (or merge?) then she could still 'lose' everything she's ever known and thus give birth to that anger/angst that was so good in the New52 run.

And He'l, that would be awesome! But pull it back some Thom, this is Superman's show!:funny:

..

We must have the Superman family of Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Strange Visitor, New Superman of China, and Krypto. Maybe have Lana Lang as Superwoman and Sharon Vance as Strange Visitor.

...

I'm always hopeful they'll do a Superwoman on a regular basis. The closest we've gotten, other than Supergirl herself, is Durance's Alura.

Recasts them tbh. Supergirl S1 might as well exists in it's own universe.

I didn't really that actress, so I would be good with a recast. Besides, by now she must have moved on to other roles. If, several years on, she is still available to be Lucy Lane then she's not in very high demand.

do we know if their kid will be a boy or a girl? I haven't really been following the CW shows for the past few years.

it would be interesting if they bucked the trend of giving Clark and Lois a son named Jon, and gave them a daughter instead (named Lara?).

I'm one of those who wouldn't mind if they went that route, but even I can recognize an overabundance of female cast. Plus, I would imagine that most fans would go up in flames! :argh:

I’m expecting Crisis to give us a taste of what this show will be and I can’t wait.

Well, it's Superman, it's Lois Lane, so I will be watching, at least the first few episodes. But if it drops in quality (assuming it's good), I'll have no problem dropping it like I dropped The Flash :hehe:

Honestly, I hope that the producers actually bring in Jon Kent as he was in the comics rather than just borrowing the name.

I"m still curious on whether they're going to age up their kid or skip a few years down the timeline to when he's already a child. If it's the latter then I hope they find a good child actor to portray him because if they get one who comes off more annoying or bad at acting then it could really hurt the family dynamic that this show is being built upon.

Yay Hoelchin is an amazing Superman!

hopefully it’s not just superman and Lois lane making goo goo eyes at each other. Can’t wait to see how it turns out

What if that kid that James is mentoring to be a photographer from the latest episode of Supergirl becomes the new Olsen type on the Superman show.
