I know what it is...Zod's spirit infected Lois' womb...

and that makes Jason....

ZOD REBORN!!!

I don't like the Jason Lane bit. I hope they can kill him off in the sequel by saving Superman or something. This only the only thing that I did not care for in the movie but i will admit Superman's speech at the end was very emotional.

killing off jason isn't as easy as it sounds...it would be waaaaay complicated to incorporate that into the storyline without it feeling cheap and easy.

let's all admit that it'll be very interesting to see how the sequels pan out. i don't mind the whole super-kid storyline so long as they can successfully pull it off (which SR did very well, in spite of my objection to the idea).

anyways, does someone have an electronic copy of the prequel comics #3 and #4? i have #1 and #2 and would like to continue reading this storyline...

yes yes, i'm being a cheap bastard by not going out and buying them. i'm a lazy slob, blah blah blah.

:)

damn, i havent read this yet. i'll get to it when i get home.

Ok, this is what I have gathered from the prequel comic and the movie. The kid is Superman’s son, why you ask. First off Superman went to the kid’s bedroom and talked to him as if he was his son, telling him that he would feel alone and that he would be different. Second, why did he have this talk, because Lois told him that Jason was his son when they were in the hospital. I do not see any other reason for Superman to have that talk or to talk to the kid period, other than he found he had a son. Fairly straight forward if you ask me.

Yeah, he's Superman's son.

He's not Kryptonian......but he's HALF Krpytonian and HALF human.

Maybe he's like Blade? He has all they're strengths....and non of they're weaknesses? The Kryptonite didn't look like it hurt Jason, or maybe it did...I dunno.

I figure the kid isn't as sickly as he seems. I think Lois maybe over doing it a bit. We also see the kids lack of powers when he walks around with the can on his head running into walls where if he had all of Supermans powers he was be able to see through the trach can.

The kryptonite glowed green around jason their was a reaction. Jason showed a reaction to the Kryptonite . just like Sups did on New krypton .

so kryptonite glows only when people are effected by it? that's the dumbest thing ever. jason's reaction was fear. he's a five year old kid who's being threatened by a maniac, he wasn't effected by the kryptonite he was just afraid that lex might hurt him. i wonder if the people that read the novel know that things are left out of novels so that people will go see the movie?

so? singer and co. didn't write the novel. marv wolfman did. things change. and most of the time movies are nothing like the books they are based on.

So people really do not know the difference between "affect" and "effect?"

So, Lois doesn´t remember having sex with Superman?
Great....does that means that, when she gets to know that Jason is Superman´s son, she will think she was raped in super-velocity?

And, how long between Superman going away, and she having sex with Richard?
To be a fu**ing **** is just totally out of character, so, it might have been 3 or 4 months...THE LEAST.
So, is she a moron and thought that the stomach swelling was because she was becaming fat?

More and more, this movie just doesn´t make sense at all...

i think she knew all along. she was just so hurt that he left that she just brushed it off and told everyone he was richard's. i for one like that guys idea about the kid being zod reborn. i really hope that if there is a sequel its not a rehash of superman II. i'm sick of k-villians. bring on parasite, metallo, brainaic and darksied!!

just read the comic, it implied that Richard was the father. Lois screamed "how did i let you do this to me" or something like that in the delivery room.

and someone said earlier about something being mysterious about Richard White in the comic. i i didnt pick up anything like that. he's just a normal guy who enters Lane's life at the right place in the right time.

i'm more likely to believe that Singer, Harris and Dougherty doesnt really now either whenter or not Jason is the son of Superman or Richard either. they're waiting which way the wind will blow and follow suit.

Okay......so, let's say he's not......which, with the proof in the film, is impossible- but IF he's not Superman's son......then what the **** explains the piano being thrown at the guy that was going to rape his mom?

The kid is Superman's son, not only did he throw a piano , But he also found Sups when he was almost at the bottom of the ocean .

The only thing that explains those two things.....is that it's his son.

dude relax its a joke. geezus!

i may like the X-Men but i'm hardly what you'd call a fanboy.

He show sgins of a reaction to KRYPTONITE

slow down there hotshot. what reaction to Kryptonite? i didnt see any reaction to Kryptonite.

oh and dont quote the novel. the novel is not the film.

The reason that's not acceptable is b/c it's so far fetched. I mean, that's really really reaching. It's his kid, 'nuff said.

Ok in the movie jason looked pale as Lex brought the KRYPTONITE closer to him . Even Lex saw the effect the KRYPTONITE had on Jason The KRYPTONITE glowed Green , just like it does When SUPERMAN come in contact with KRYPTONITE . That he questioned Lois on Who The boy's Father is .

Youre wrong Kal-El 8. I watched it over.

There was NO effect.

It didnt glow and Jason didnt react.

well either the kid was a lousy actor or there was no reaction.

in fact didnt you pick up on Luthor's frustration there? the kid had no reaction to it, Lois said (at the time) that the father was Richard. Luthor left the room thinking that Jason is just an ordinary human boy.

when the thugs came running back saying that the other guy got killed by a piano Luthor's suspicions was confirmed. but then he was scared sheit since he knows that the kid is perfect-- as strong as Superman but doesnt have his weaknesses. that's why his next course of action was to put as much distance between himself and the boy.

edit: good Kane saw it too. see i'm not seeing things man :)

oh and relax will you? the Cyclops thing was a joke. got quite some good laughs. sorry it didnt go down too well with you.
