World Supes Vs. Bats still possible??

That is from 2004 I believe. It says Superman Returns just got greenlit.

As long as superhero franchises are the "IT" thing in Hollywood this will always be a possibility. Someone could always make a decent script but like so many times before this film may never see the light of day to due marketing/merchandising disputes.

A soon as superhero movies start dropping in popularity, we'll see Batman Vs Superman.

In the 30's, Universal monster movies were extremely popular. Then they became less so, and Universal began teaming them up, so you had Frankenstein's monster, the Wolf Man, Dracula, the Mummy et all meeting each other and so on.

Well, I'd love to see it. Superman needs to go up against someone who can outthink even him and with all his super powers and enhanced hearing and such, Bats will still find a way to whoop that ass!

I'd love to see them make it based on one of the Superman comics I have from the late 1980s, where Batman is hunting a killer/bomber and tracks the character to Metropolis. He then warns Superman, (who turns up to arrest him, thinking he's a crazy vigilante) that if he comes within a few feet of him, he'll automatically set off a device on his utility belt which will detonate a bomb and kill innocent people. So Superman can't arrest him, but tries to find the killer with him.

‘Man of Steel’ Star Wants A Batman/Superman Teamup Movie
Anthony Vieira said:
When asked by SFX about his thoughts on a potential film featuring the World’s Finest, Cavill stated that he found the age-old conflict between the two interesting because:

“…they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story.”

Comic-Con 2013: ‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’
Nicole Sperling said:
Warner Bros. is about to bring together two of its most iconic heroes: Superman and Batman will unite in a new film, the follow-up to “Man of Steel,” set for release in 2015.

According to two sources with knowledge of the movie, Warner Bros. intends to announce the news at its Comic-Con International panel Saturday morning. Said a Warner Bros. spokesperson, “We don’t comment on rumors regarding these properties.”

“Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder is expected to reunite with screenwriter David S. Goyer and star Henry Cavill for the new film. It’s unlikely Christian Bale will step back into the bat suit, as the actor has indicated publicly that he has moved on from his days as Bruce Wayne.

“Man of Steel” producer and “Dark Knight” trilogy director Christopher Nolan is expected by some to produce the project, but the exact nature of his involvement is unclear.

The move marks the culmination of years of effort on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring their superheroes together in a similar fashion to their primary competitor Marvel, which successfully combined its superheroes into a $1.5-billion box-office hit with “The Avengers.”

In the comic world, the two heroes are teaming up in a new series, “Batman/Superman,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee.
