'Sword of Truth' aka Legend of the Seeker

from what Ive read of 'Ice and Fire' a two hour pilot is being produced.....the plan is to have a chapter as each episode in the first book.....a two hour pilot will probably cover the Nights Watch, King Roberts visit to Winterfell and Eddard deciding to take the job as the Hand and head to Kings Landing

Then that's more than 2 chapters right there. It should start with the epilogue then go to the beheading/finding the Direwolves, then to Winterfell and end the episode at the arrival of the king.

But yeah, SOT would be a great stablemate over at HBO for GRRM's stuff.

GRRM is really great political soap opera...if done right, it could rival The Tudors.....SOT...not so much

If you say so man, I'm not gonna get into this who's series is better argument. Both are good series and I like them both.

so do I...been following SOT since high school....they both do their respective things very well

its actually pretty quick but the blade did go white.....in the book his capture/training takes up Id say the last third of the book....I view the show as a separate entity and I like to stare at Bridget Regan
Really? I thought it was just glowing from Richard overcoming Denna's control of his magic. Plus its not that fact that the sword just turned white, its what it means that is important. So they didint even explain that aspect of his sword.

i heard of this show when it was first announced but didn't know it aired on any of mu cable systems till yesterday i'll try ou the show

yawn!!!

Man, that was a lazy season finale. There were a crapload of logic leaps, but the chick playing Cara was freakin' hot!

And I knew they were going to alter Rahl and Richard's relationship though I wonder if Jensen even told him.

They have screwed that show so bad. Watching the finally actually pissed me off. Richard didn't become Lord Rahl, the Mord Sith have left .... heck, the mud people were not at all mentioned, Cara was not the Cara of the books at all.

the show actually stated out pretty well. The first couple episodes weren't too bad. It got progressively worse after that.

Overall the show is good. At least for someone with no prior knowledge of the events that take place within the books. It's a solid fantasy show, with a decent cast, good action for a Saturday tv series, and an interesting premise.

The finale was much weaker than it should have been. I felt like they should have added more depth, and perhaps made the finale a two-parter. Rahl was probably my least favorite aspect, as I don't think they showed his power properly, they talked and told us about it, but it wasn't shown enough, IMO. From what was shown, part of me kept thinking why doesn't Zed just give him a magical ass whopping and be done with it?

As for Darken Rahl's death, I'm not sure I entirely buy it. I can see the writers somehow having him return in Season 2, should there be one. And, as I wiki'd it, I'm sure his connection to Richard will be revealed in the next season.

I like the show, but I felt the finale was a little abrupt.

I mean what happened to Richard and Kahlen. Did Kahlen even actually finish the confession and realize that
it doesn't work on Richard because Richard is already totally in love and devoted to her.

Or have they decided to wait on revealing this?

Nah, the Boxes suppressed Kahlan's power of confession so they wouldn't have noticed that it doesn't work on him.

The fact that Rahl decides that now is the time to transform into a bird and bring a bunch of Mord Sith was hilarious. What the heck have you been doing this last 20 episodes man!

Looking forward to season 2, i liked the whole time travel thing in the finale.

Wow, amazing finale for an already great series. Pretty intense!!
I can't wait to see what happens next season now that there's power to be grabbed!

I stumbled across this show last Saturday and downloaded and watched all 22 eps in 4 days. I'm hooked on this show (primarily because of Kahlan - she's gorgeous). I can't wait for season 2

LOL. I was thinking the same thing.

It's as if the writers of the show never read the books, just the first couple pages of the Cliffs Notes. Heck, they went as far as turning Rahl into Richard's brother rather than his father. That I don't mind, but when Rahl died Richard should have became the new Lord Rahl.

Screw the books. Forget about them...this is the TV show...if you wanted the books, go read them :P sorry, i'm just tired of hearing the same thing repeat over and over "but...but the books...!"

When did they mention it was his brother? I don't recall that.

I'll say it as oft as I wish.
