I don't think Hulu works outside the US.
From the bookfans complaints I've read, If you can seperate the books from the series then you're ok. They apparently completely butcher the plots and take stuff randomly from other parts. I have no idea who the Mud people are but they are important apparently but they haven't shown up 17 episodes in. Otherwise, I'd wait until they start broadcasting in Europe. They are expanding into international markets slowly.
You read the books? Then don't waste your money on buying the DVDs. Each episode the continuity gets more and more twisted thatIt does not...I have to wait for the season to come out on DVD and I am really questioning whether I should submit myself to the dissappointment
She does(in a way that is not nearly as clever or interesting as the books) But its not really that cool looking. When she uses her power there isint even the "silent thunder" effects like there are in the book, her pupils just get big. So the Con Dar is just her with reddish eyes holding her hand out to people, no lighteningHow does Kahlan call up the con dar in the TV show. I am a big fan of the books but have never seen the series as it is not broadcasted here.

you'll want to gouge your eyes out at the horror. Its awful if you've read the books, good if you haven't

I can say for someone who has never read the books, the show is very entertaining.
I especially liked yesterdays episode, as it showed not all the D'Haran's are mindless evil bastards, and that the rebels can be just as ****ed up as the D'Harans.
It was in the first couple episodes she used it.....kind of like a ripple....
That wasn't the Con Dar. Those were just regular confessions. She only used the Bloodrage in the dungeon episode.
But even when she uses her regular power there should be silent thunder that physically knocks surrounding people back. The con dar had that effect in the addition to a blue lightening that she could manipulate manually( like blow up the screeling in the second book)gotcha....I thought he was just talking regular....I misread

Plus D'Harans should be HUGE and blond haired and blue eyed. Why did they give Darken Rahl a dark complection?!![]()
He pretty much is a minor character. He's the villain in the first and barley in the second. The main villain of the series is the Imperial Order/Jagang and maybe the Sisters of the Dark. Although I havn't read past NE yet so I dunno if he comes back.I guess....having read the entire series, Darken Rahl seems almost minor IMO....I know he's the bad guy right now.....
you are welcome....its the first fantasy series I ever read....picked up the first book in paperback when I was in HS....I want to be ON Bridget Regan....
