'Sword of Truth' aka Legend of the Seeker

I'll have to re watch it, then.

I know! I'm on a one mission to get her cast as :ww:

abandoning? No, but she's dropped down a notch, as Kahlan is a better actress, and 5'10

It's as if the writers of the show never read the books, just the first couple pages of the Cliffs Notes. Heck, they went as far as turning Rahl into Richard's brother rather than his father. That I don't mind, but when Rahl died Richard should have became the new Lord Rahl.

So that just means the whole future story line has been thrown out the window.

To those wondering why so many who have read the book find so many objections with the changes:

Richard is the only gifted son of Darken Rahl because of a spell that was placed by an ancestor of Rahl that allowed for only one gifted child per generation. This spell also offerred the only protection against Dream Walkers, and therefore the Emperor from the Old World, who ends up being the main protagonist of the books. Darken Rahl is the protagonist in the very beginning putting Richard in place for what happens in the later books. In addition, note that the great war and everything that happens as a cause of it is really the gist of the series along with the love between Richard and Kahlan. With everything I have read they have basically gotten rid of the whole story line and at least the whole story that interested me. Now that does not preclude that this could be a good series but I would rather then say this is a story that takes the charcaters of the Sword of Truth series and puts them in a whole new story then to hear it marketted as "they are based on the books by Terry Goodkind"

Regis and Kelly look like little children standing next to her. Kelly has on the most ridiculous shoes for a morning show host. You would think she was getting reading to collect dollar bills from all the men in the audience.

Second season is scheduled to begin November 7. FYI. apparently
the veil of the Underworld is broken being the main plot with Richard dealing with magic and Kahlan dealing with someone else for Richard's love.

Well the veil part is at least what the second book is about. I dunno about the second sentence tho.

He looks like the Brawny Man or Paul Bunyan's little brother.

But I am happy to see Cara returning so soon. She was hawt! And weird seeing Charisma Carpenter.

Well Richard did have the beard in the second book "The Stone Of Tears" which is mentioned. Though the reason he's growing the beard seems moot because he grew it when away from Kahlan at the Palace Of The Prophet's learning about his powers.

There's a scene with the D'harans bowing to him in there too! So I guess he does become Richard Rahl after all.

Well it appears to be starting off pretty similar to the book (although the first season did too and drifted VERY far) Seems like we'll be getting Lord Rahl.

Anyone catch the two Mord Sith kissing? Raina and Berdine?? and Cara too. They were some of the best dialog in the books, hope this is portrayed well.

Yeah, the relationship Rich has with the Mord Sith and their witty banter is the best. I love when he's in the Wizard's Keep with Kahlan and all the Mord Sith and he's always frustrated at them, hilarious! I also hope they work in RR's many wives.

Season 1 is out on DVD...I'm so excited but I really wished they would have released it on blu-ray!!!

First Charisma Carpenter and now Jolene Blalock...Season 2 is going to sizzle!! Can't wait. Great show...love Bridget Regan!!! Are there any promo pics from Season 2 yet? Please post!!

Didn't know this. This is going to be full of eye candy this season. Can't wait.

WOOT! Can't wait for season 2...been looking forward to it now that the balance of power has shifted outwards.

Cara was in the books right? I don't think anything ever happened with her and Richard, right?

She was in the books and no, nothing ever happens with her and Richard. Though I hope they work in the Richard having like a million chicks in love with him and wanting to marry him thing. Always hilarious.
