Syfy Nearing Series Order For "12 Monkeys" Adaptation

^ She was spooky af in those time freeze scenes.

The Witness reveal played out as expected. A whole small town/factory as a time machine?! Damn!

I'm going to be laughing my ass off if Deacon is still alive, makes the trip with Cass and continues to wreck havoc on the legion of monkeys.

I like this new Jones. Loved her story of holding down the fort for all those months while everyone was away to stop the paradox.

So Cole is now basically what Sam Beckett is at the end of Quantum Leap. He just needs to drink special blood from the red forest. Loved his run-in with Jennifer. Who is going to be needing some saving next season.

Good stuff.

Yeah, she was really creepy. I wasn't quite sure if the time freezes were real or all in Cole's head. No one seemed to even react when time un-froze. Cole would have appeared to have vanished right in front of the people in the shop and he would have seemed to just appear out of nowhere in front of that Asylum.

I think I've pondered over this enough. I'm thinking that The Witness had nothing to do w/ the Messengers. For one they would have no need for Jones' time machine if they had their own. 2. If the Messengers had succeeded then the Witness would have been born in 1959 or 1960 (I think it was Christmas time) and the world would have ended. Thus the Witness wouldn't have existed in 2163. My guess is that Olivia's group ends up being at odds w/ the Witnesses group in 2163 and one of them decides that the only way to kill the Witness is to kill time itself.

It's him or his and Cass's lovechild.

Definately the latter. If Cole had changed time in 1957, then how did Cassie become pregnant with the witness? She get's pregnant in 1959 but Cole erased that timeline by going back to 1957.

Anyhow; that was an amazing finale. Can't wait until 2017.

Seeing how Jennifer gets out of her 1917 predicament is what i'm most looking forward to. I'm asumming Ramse's son will be an adult when we see him next.

I found it quite convenient that now anyone can't jump in the time machine chair (Jones) and travel, when earlier it was shown only a select few made it through.

I'm thinking that The Witness exists beyond Time, Space & Reality. I think there are at least 3 different Cassie(s) that exist in different parallel universes. 1 never goes to the future and dies in 2018. 1 gives birth to the Witness in 1960 and 1 never experiences the events from 1957 - 1959. Those alternate timeline versions converged while she was in Titan.

I think the splinter effect is different as a time machine than as a teleportation device. What the writers seem to have forgotten is why Cole was able to be the only one who could successfully time travel in the first place. Cassie, Ramse, Jennifer, it does seem like just about anyone can go through time now. lol

Plus, wasn't each jump slowly killing him? I do recall them resetting his physiology w/ his kid self but they never addressed the fact that it was killing him in the first place.

Jennifer's speech in the finale was hilarious. :D

That was awesome.

What Cole wrote on the wall in 1957; I assume will come into play next season, as well as him travelling back before the FBI guy dies a few eps back, as the FBI guy made it sound like he and Cole had had many adventures together, Cole just hasn't experienced it yet.

I'm sort of glad the red forest storyline seems to be over. Can they just reveal who the damn witness is already! Two seasons in and we still don't know who this person is! I wouldn't be surprised if Cole does indeed turn out to be the witness from an alternate timeline; if anyone has seen the movie Predestination, they know it is possible to go back in time, and impregnate someone thus creating yourself. I have a feeling that that may be the big twist next season.

They never really revealed who Cole's mother is or why/how she knew about the Army of the 12. I'm going to have to rewatch Season 1 again to refresh my memory on some things but I think Cole's father was his biological father so I don't think he creates himself.

I thought about that too, but aren't we now dealing with alternate timelines/realities on this show? And are we really sure it was his biological father..?

This season is going to be amazing

12 Monkeys adds Battlestar Galactica star in season 3

Another Battlestar Galactica alum is coming to 12 Monkeys!

James Callis, best known for playing Dr. Gaius Baltar on the Syfy series, has landed a recurring role on the third season of 12 Monkeys, EW has learned exclusively. (To note: BSG alum Michael Hogan appeared during season 2.)

12 MONKEYS Casts GAME OF THRONES and STAR TREK Actors

Stopping the essence of time itself is no small feat, but something tells us the newest additions to the Army of the 12 Monkeys are up for the challenge. In a fun bit of genre-bending, Syfy’s time traveling thriller, 12 Monkeys (yes, that adaptation of the film from 1995 that we’ve been telling you to watch for a while now), has tapped none other than Hannah Waddingham—a.k.a. Septa “Shame Nun” Unella from Game of Thrones—and Faran Tahir—most recently seen as Captain Nemo on Once Upon a Time, but you know him from SO many things—for recurring roles on the show next season, as we can exclusively reveal to you right here on Nerdist!

Haven't posted about it, want to say that 12 Monkeys episodes were all superb. I'm delighted at having season 3 and new cast members like Lloyd, Callis joining.

12 Monkeys renewed for fourth and final season

Syfy has renewed 12 Monkeys for a fourth and final season, EW has learned exclusively.

Based on the 1995 film of the same name, the Syfy series follows weary time traveler James Cole (Aaron Stanford) and virologist Cassandra Railly (Amanda Schull) as they attempt to save the world from the Army of the 12 Monkeys, who released a plague that killed off most of humanity. Season 4, which is expected to debut in 2018, will consist of 10 episodes.

Syfy states that the third season is set to debut on May 19 at 8pm, with the entire 10-episode season (!!) playing out across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. The first four episodes will premiere on Friday, with three episodes airing each night on both Saturday and Sunday from 8pm – 11pm.

Curious to see what this does to the show's viewer numbers. The live numbers will probably be awful. A lot of viewers probably won't want to spend their three weekend nights inside watching 12 Monkeys. If Syfy wanted to do this they should have done it during the Winter. Not in May when Summer unofficially begins in America.

Interesting move. TBS is the only other network that I know of that has done it with Tribeca and Detour. Gonna need to clear up some space on my DVR that weekend.

I just finished the first season of this show (and rightfully spoiled everything in season 2, but oh well). Good to see Aaron Stanford on screen again. Loved the guy since 2002.

Time travelling is a headache.

Major Spoilers if you're not up to date
