Looks pretty tense, I just hope they don't spend the whole show inside the research base.
The Verdict:
Sold. We were completely sold on Helix the minute the "before the title" scene dropped. We are completely hooked, and just so DAMN happy that actual horror is on Syfy again. All we want from this series is terrifying body horror with a dollop of conspiracy theories. And that is exactly what Helix is serving up.
I'm interested, but that's about all I can say about that premiere. I wish I had a better idea of what this show is going to be and where it's going. With BSG it was pretty clear: earth, war, survival. I was really hoping RDM would deliver a premiere like BSG's "33 Minutes" instead it was kind of syfy original movie caliber and even included a stereotypical southern accent. It's gonna have to be better than this.
Just watched the first three episodes, and I am definitely intrigued! Without a doubt a promising series and if the quality continues to rise, this may just be SYFY's best show since BSG...finally. By the way,
[BLACKOUT]What was up with the doctor taking his contacts out and having glow in the dark yellow eyes!?[/BLACKOUT]

My theories so far:
The brother was working on something that could be used by the military and someone paid/will pay the lead scientist for it. The lead scientist is actually the father of the main CDC guy's ex-wife.
I missed the premiere, but I did record it on the old DVR. I'm thinking about watching it later this evening. For those who saw it, how did you like it?
