The Dark Knight TDK Casting Sides

It sounded to me like the bank manager was a criminal himself. He said something along the lines of "do you know who's money you're stealing?" Sounds to me like Maroni controls that bank, and most likely the bank manager.

I think that's exactly right: the comment is ironic. The bank manager is tied up with Maroni, and now The Joker has put the boot on the other foot. Classic exchange.

Dammit, I made a really daft mistake and missed off a page with Mayor:

Basically, Mayor and Gordon are talking to someone I presume is Dent. Dent ordered 800 arrests and they want to know what crack he's smoking (I'm paraphrasing.) The Mayor talks about how the public likes Dent and that's the only reason it might fly.

BTW, I'm increasingly thinking the maniac being talked about at the radio phone-in is Scarecrow, not Joker. It fits Anjow's theory about why the national guard are there.

Hrmmm... I seem to have missed some things. All of this sounds great, though. :up:

Definitely sounds like 'Randolph' is Dent. This makes this excerpt all the more interesting:

ENGEL
And how's Randolph doing? We're hearing a lot of different stuff-

MAYOR
Mike, please, don't fuel people's paranoia. Randolph's alive, and looking forward to getting back to the job.
Could the Mayor be doing some damage control? Sounds like the "rumors" are that Dent has been severely scarred or something. I don't know. :o

Miranda, you're a very naughty girl. But I like you.

That's a good point. A really good point.

Lol i figured that out the second i read it. It's obviously Dent they're on about.

Ooh, be careful. Over at the BOF forums, FaithNoMan311 posted that he got a legal warning from WB about posting sides. They ARE watching, and the ninjas are on standby! :woot:

Oops, Sorry! :oldrazz:

To be fair, all this sides talk is driving me crazy - either have LR or FilmForce do a spoiler-light review and end this craziness!

Well I don't know if my warning was really heeded. If people just limit their distribution of the sides to IMs and emails, and keep it off the forums, there's no way trouble can be brought from it. When you post it in a public place like this, you're just begging for unwanted attention.

80% of people have already seen them anyway, so isn't it just safer at this point to limit it to a discussion?

Co-signed. I just want some assurance this film will be good. :)

I am at least conifdent that I will enjoy the film, even if it isn't as good as Begins.

if Randolph is Dent, who is Gannon? Gannon is an elected official. Unless, both Gannon and Randolph are Dent. but if they used Randolph multiple times, seems odd they'd change the name to Gannon for that one side.

Sucks, I'm glad I got a look at them all.

Miranda if i was you i'd take down the new Mayor pages asap.

Ducard: WB employees aggressive lawyers...

Bruce: As weapons?

Ducard: Or distractions. Theatricality and legal deception are powerful agents. They must become more than just a lawyer in the minds of people posting stuff on web forums.

yeah i'm in agreement it sounds like a lot of scare tactics, but hey, can't blame em and I wouldn't take any chances either way.

I think we've been assuming the "The Chief" is Gordon because we all know he's going to be Commissioner but Gordon was only promoted to Lieutenant at the end of Begins.

Chief = Commissioner Loeb
Gannon = Dent
Randolph = Gordon?

Makes sense, although the guy who played Loeb was pretty cheesy. Possibly the Mayor uses the Commissioner as a scapegoat for the entire mess, the whole thing is pretty calamitous for GPD. Gordon becoming Commissioner already is one hell of a fast track though.

But the Mayor wouldn't be talking to Gordon about that stuff. He'd be talking to Dent. Randolph HAS to be Dent. On the other hand, "Prosecutor" is probably Dent as well. So Gannon could be, too. It stands to reason they'd do that, to keep things more confusing for people like us trying to decipher it all...

That's what I've always thought. :up:
