The Dark Knight TDK Casting Sides

We were all right there when those sides went up, and I'm telling you, I don't remember seeing this one.

It definitely wasn't.

Even if it was, the sides were taken down right after they were leaked, and weer obviously not meant to be seen by the general public, so why oh why would Christopher Nolan put a hidden message for a teaser or whatever in something like that? Not to mention the fact that um... this is Chris Nolan, he never tells us anything until he absolutely has to.

Hoax...April Fool's...whatever. we've seen enough early reports regarding numerous movies that were immediately criticized and ridiculed and which later turned out to be true. i guess people just want to be the first to point fingers so that they (hope) can later come back and say that they were right.

Saw American Werewolf in London last night. then read this thread. The coded message should have read 'See you next Wednesday'.

See You Next Tuesday would've been awesome if only because it's the best way to insult someone ever.

I can tell you for certain that that "side" wasn't apart of the original group that we saw. Something isn't right here.

It appeared a few weeks later, on April 1st to be exact. Consensus is that it's fake.

I don't think the message is a hoax. The side itself is, but not the message.

WB put out a batch of real sides and Miranda found them. WB knew we had them so they thought they'd pull out a little hoax/treat for April fools. The stuff about Joker in the Batcave is BS and most of us called that pretty quick, but Nolan is sneaky enough to add something extra. Because it's a hoax side they can code whatever message they please.

The letters lining up to spell an exact sentence is too improbable to be a coincidence.

You can't prove...oh, wait.

*goes to sit at the back of the fandom*

:csad:

And stay there. Wash your mouth out with soap and water.

I agree the 'message' has to have been deliberately planted (and a good find by saginaw), but still doesn't shake my belief that the side itself is fake. It's too different in tone from the other ones, like it was DELIBERATELY fake, just to tease us.

Yes, sir. :csad:

Oh, I agree the content of the side is fake. The message is interesting though - I can't really see your average internet fool thinking up something that sneaky.

Exactly^. It was deliberately faked for April fools which means they could make up whatever they want that contained a message. April Fools with a fruity twist.

You're an eagle eye Saginaw!

Woah.... one thing's for real....the side is.

Navigate around and work ur way back to it. It's a legit release from the WB. Weather it's those Ninja's messing with us Pirates....or well idk. But the side is a real release from the WB. But I agree it's some kind of a plant from them, because it's the only one still on there, in addition to the fact that they had to have known we'd go back and check to see if new ones were added. Thats why they pulled the original ones.

^ yeah WB definitely released it but it's still not a real scene that'll be in the movie. They knew we'd see it and freak out how cheesy it is, there being the hoax on April 1st. I dunno if you can actually audition for the side maybe they'd hear you out anyway for the role of a thug in a different scene.

Ok...so what will we see in December?

* Joker reveal?

* Teaser trailer?

* something else?

lol...this side was a fake anyways. i thought everyone had come to that conclusion like 2 weeks ago? so there are probably more hidden messages in it to get your knickers in a twist.

I think the Nolan brothers are a little more careful with this filming and not letting us fanboys get a hold of scripts. So, this script is probably a decoy. But we will see the teaser trailer probably near Veterans Day or Thanksgiving.

It's actually NOT that common to release a summer teaser trailer for a film 1 YEAR before it's release.

BB did it because it had the film available AND needed to show people that it was NOT a B&R-type film.

SM1 had a teaser which was immediately removed (the pre-9/11 towers) - which was really crap, IMO (have you seen it? Looks like an advert for a TV film - would have seriously hurt the film if it had stayed).

SM2 had NO summer teaser - only a poster of Doc Ock (which is what everyone wanted to see).

SM3 had excess publicity - It's like X-Men 3 last year - cut and paste all film clips released and you've got most of the movie!

X-Men 2 had a 'teaser trailer' only because Singer stitched together 2 weeks filming with the coda from X-men1, and fan response at Comic-Con led to online release.

If WB released a picture like this instead of a teaser, wouldn't it be just as effective?
