The Amazing Spider-Man TDK is the REAL reason for the reboot

The studio obviously liked the reboot script better. Maybe they would have just continued with a different director and cast and same continuity… if the script were worth it.

Yeah, but in today's world of movies, the bigger the movie, the bigger the money.

And Spider-Man is a city protector. He isn't going to be webslinging through a five-block radius. He is all over New York.

You know, I don't think I'd call TDK the "epic" one out of TDK and BB. I mean, in BB, Bruce was in multiple countries, he fought a villain that had a world-wide organization, the entire city was almost destroyed.

Now, yeah, the Joker did blow a good deal of buildings up, but the threat wasn't as big as what Ras was doing. And the Joker was really all about the personal destruction of his foes. I think TDK in many ways was more personal then BB was.

realistic, hard-hitting, unsentimental, unromantic :cwink:

And at times Spider-man is that. The fight between Harry and Pete was very gritty. The final fight between Norman and Spider-man was damn gritty.Spider-man can be gritty. But it should be kept to the fights. Similar to Indiana Jones.

I would say Twilight is the real reason we're getting a reboot.

In that case maybe the next Spidey villian should be Morbius but as we know Sony, he won't look like the comic book but more of a pale pretty boy with pouty lips.
