Why is the New York TDK Premiere so close to the movie date? (July 15)
Does anybody have any other Date for worldwide premieres?

Never thought about it really...how early are Premieres usually?
Maybe they are keeping the film under wraps as long as possible.

In the rules for their contest it states:

1) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two (2) to New York City to see the July 15, 2008 motion picture premiere of "The Dark Knight".

The UK premiere is Monday 21st July at the Empire Leicester Square

New York, no idea when!

I have heard NY on either July 14th or 15th, but no idea where.

Then I also heard rumors about premieres in LA, London, and Sydney...

But that's all the info I have.

Just wondering if anyone else heard anything different.

im pretty sure its going to be @ the imax theater downtown that we all went to see the 6 min prologue in... for ny anyway
