Ok so a dude I work with does some work for a radio station here. He just finished a special segment of his show for TDK (Warner gave them TDK stuff for the show). He said that he's going to a press screening this week.

Am I wrong in thinking all he'll see is the prologue ?
Can it be too early for a full fledged showing ?

The BOF guy said that he will have a screening of the whole movie on 28th.

That's awesome. So, can we expect reviews to start filtering in from around 29th June?

I hope this isn't the "dude" that told you about the screening. :cwink:

no Jett said he'll post his review on July 15th possibly. I emailed him and asked a while ago.

I would think so. If nothing, the reviews will start coming in my the first of the month for sure.

yea he said he would retain as much spoilers as possible. :) So I'll check out his review but I'm not going to take a chance on here though. :(

Lol, true, but its not Jett I'm worried about.

Just stay way from the AICN guys (Espeically Harry reviews) and Newsrama and IGM reviews.

They'll tell you the whole movie in their "reviews".

I dunno if IGN will have an early review or if it will contain tons of spoilers but they probably will state some of the plot just to have at least something to talk about. lol

QFT. AICN seems to have snobbed TDK since the beginning. Someone on the boards said it was because they were not invited on the set or something, that would make sense.

Actually, they started picking up the pace once some of the virals were going -- they started overcompensating, really -- but, yeah -- AICN has been inexplicably unexcited, for the most part.

Not that Batman Begins was perfect or anything, but it was just weird to see Harry going "meh" all over that but then drooling over some of the true garbage that was coming out.

AICN stopped with all the Dark Knight news after they got boned with that early Heath Ledger as Joker thing that was actually from LOTR or whatever. I don't blame them after reporting something that wasn't even true.

Harry did this with Batman Begins because Warner Brothers wouldn't kiss his @$$ and give him a set visit and free goodies from the film. (Although when he saw the final film, he had to admit that he loved it.)

Ultimately, he's a petty, pathetic fanboy, and easily dismissable.

AICN has deals with studios to promote certain movies. They'll deny it, but look at all the amped up attention given to Wanted recently complete with an AICN screening. This started before the Russian trailer.

Same thing happens with ANYTHING Robert Rodriguez or Quentin Tarantino touches because Harry is friends with them. He rushed over to the TV section to report on that lame Women In Prison TV RR is doing.

Dude, speaking of "Wanted", is it me or is it basically the exact same thing as matrix?

The only reviewer over at AICN that I even had a smidgen of respect for and value their opinion is Moriarty. His review of "Batman Begins" (and most movies) was incredibley spot on.

Harry and the rest of idiots (including the "feedback" posters) are the epitome of fanboys and what's WRONG with internet talkback threads.

So, how would one get about getting into a press screening? :)
