The only reviewer over at AICN that I even had a smidgen of respect I have for their opinion is Moriarty. His review of "Batman Begins" (and most movies) was incredibley spot on.

I like probably 90% of Moriarty's stuff, too. He's hands down the best writer there.

I read Moriarty, Massawyrm, and Vern, then probably Quint and Capone. But Moriarty's the only one I think is fairly reliable.

Though I'm not getting sucked in to Speed Racer no matter what he says... :woot:

I've been bouncing around for months now hoping for a script leak. does anyone think we're gonna get it? I know that they're releasing the script after the movie comes out in some special TDK book, but that's no fun. I want it beforehand.

^ dude, we're SOOO close to release now!.... wait for the damn movie!!!

Dude, speaking of "Wanted", is it me or is it basically the exact same thing as matrix?
It's just you.

There's similarities yeah, but that's why they're called genre movies. To say they are the exact same is a direct exaggeration.

Actually, they started picking up the pace once some of the virals were going -- they started overcompensating, really -- but, yeah -- AICN has been inexplicably unexcited, for the most part.

Not that Batman Begins was perfect or anything, but it was just weird to see Harry going "meh" all over that but then drooling over some of the true garbage that was coming out.

Harry loved Batman Begins. Said it was the batman movie he'd been waiting for and i believe he thought it was the best superhero movie to that date.

Sorry -- I meant during the buildup. He'd pretty much keep going out of his way to say "This trailer doesn't do anything for me... this image doesn't do anything for me... this poster doesn't do anything for me" etc. etc.

I wish I could remember the things he WAS talking up, getting all excited about; I just remember the circumstance rather than specifics. I kept thinking, "He likes this but not this!? What's he smoking!?" It was almost perverse.

hmm, I hope that means some reviews start to show up pretty soon
the fan boy in me wants this movie to be rated 100% but the logical side knows it's probably only going to be 98% on rotten tomatoes.

Its not gonna get a 98%

I don't recall the specifics, but I remember someone saying on here earlier that Harry Knowles had not been invited onto the set for TDK. And in response to this snub, the general company line over at AICN is to downplay all developments related to "The Dark Knight".

Somehow I don't think the film needs Harry's blessing... :cwink:

I bet after jett sees it the 28th or whenever he will at least post something like "don't worry it's awesome" and leave it at that.

I cant imagine him seeing it and not throwing out a bone to rabid fanboys.

If someone sees the whole thing, Id LOVE to read the spoilers. It wont ruin the flick for me, on the contrary itll prolly make my TDK experience even BETTER.

Okay, I can kind of see how someone could say spoilers won't ruina a movie for them, but how could knowing them make a movie better? It just makes no sense.

i just usually read the last paragraph. Usually the wrap up tells you if the critic likes it or not in most cases, espcially with online sites.

Does anyone really think TDK would get 98% on Rotten Tomatoes? Maybe from the community.

BB got 95% from community but only 63% from "top critics."

Guess they didn't like the dope smoking ninjas :oldrazz:

lol I would be happy if it got atleast a 80% I really think they will bash the movie only cause of its massive hype and them being like oh it needed more joker more blah blah and some more blah

But a man can dream

Hell IronMan got a 93 and imo thats alittle to much for it
