I'll just buy it from Woolworths on the day :o

Yes, but isn't the comic book the same one that came with Region 1 BB? Pretty cheap if you ask me. Art Cards all the way personally.

I on Region 2 so I wouldn't know what came with Region 1.

I can see how this is going to go for me:

  • HMV for the comic
  • Play.com for the art cards
  • Amazon for whatever they decide to bung in with it

Same again for the blu-rays because even though I haven't a HD setup yet, I aim to around Christmas time.

And then of course I'll have to buy all the the special editions/limited editions just before Christmas

This damn film is going to bankrupt me. :csad:

I was thinking, does anyone reckon Bond QOS could challenge TDKs box office? After watching that trailer I gotta say it looked sickening, I gotsta see dat.

So is there a comic coming with the DVD/Blu-Ray? That would be sweet

I sincerely doubt they'll stick a comic in with the blu-ray as well. Their job is to get us to buy as many different versions as possible so the carrot with the blu-ray may be badges or a poster, or even a t-shirt (a rumour I'd heard).

I'd be happy with a little piece of Joker coat so I could lick it every day. :cwink:

Simple response?

No. It does look fantastic, but not a chance.

By the way, your 'English' is painful :brucebat:

You know...I still watch the trailer and still get just as excited!! :D

Just some photos for you of the versions mentioned above.

Why does my English look painful? Should I use propper sentance structuring and spelling while writing on a internet message board?

I got the new Total film today (with Bond on the cover with the QOS mouse mat) and had a hillarious abridged version of TDK in it.
I typed it up for those who are interested.
I debated about doing a new thread for this but I realised that people dont have a sense of humour so I thought I would put it in this thread.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

Just in case

Article:

Fade in:

Int. Chicago

Heath Ledger and some clowns rob a bank.
The Audience tolerates this, having already watched it 30 times online.
Heath confronts the mobsters, whose money he stole.

Heath Ledger
You guys all have a problem with Batman.
Did you ever consider killing him?

Eric Roberts
We're allowed to do that?
Why didn't we think of that?

Heath Ledger
Being a criminal mastermind is easy when all the other criminals in the city are imbeciles.

Christian Bale visits Morgan Freeman

Christian Bale
I need a suit that lets me turn my head

Morgan Freeman
You spent the entire last movie building the first suit and you want a new one after one line of dialogue?
(pause)
Your new suit is ready, have fun

Meanwhile, district attorney Aaron Eckhart puts the Mob on trial.
Heath attacks Aaron, but Christian Bale rescues him.

Heath Ledger
The battle between good and evil, teased in all the trailers, has finally arrived!

Christian Bale crashes the Bat-Pod like a putz.
Heath Ledger laughs, then gets arrested by Gary Oldman.
Then the scene ends.

Heath Ledger
Is that it?
I should have just watched the trailer over and over

Gary Oldman
Ha, you fell right into our convoluted plan to arrest you!

Heath Ledger
Ha, you fell into my convoluted plan to get arrestedby you and then make you choose between saving Maggie Gyllenhaal or Aaron Eckhart, because I steal schemes from Superman: The Movie

Christian Bale tries to rescue Maggie Gyllenhaal but saves Aaron Eckhart instead.
All of Maggie Gyllenhaal blows up, half of Aaron Eckhart blows up and one third of the audience's blow up.

Int. Hospital

Gary Oldman visits Aaron Eckhart, whose face has burnt off.

Gary Oldman
Holy ****ing ****!

Aaron Eckhart
You're alarmed by my hideous scarring?

Gary Oldman
No, I can't believe how over the top the special effects are on your face!

Gary Oldman leaves and Heath Ledger enters.
Aaron Eckhart scowls at him.

Heath Ledger
You don't want to kill me for murdering your girlfriend.
You want to kill everyone else for failing to stop me!

Aaron Eckhart
That doesn't make any sense at all

Heath Ledger
And yet, it's going to be your main motivation for the rest of the movie

Heath Ledger rigs some ferries with bombs while Aaron Eckhart goes around killing everyone who isn't dead.

Christian Bale finds Heath Ledger and has fight with him.
Heath Ledger falls off a building ledge, but Christian Bale saves him.

Christian Bale
I saved you
That proves how committed I am to my moral code

Heath Ledger
You didn't mind letting Liam Neeson die in the last movie

Ext. Building Ruins

Aaron Eckhart has taken Gary Oldman family hostage.

Gary Oldman
Please don't hurt my family
I know you're trying to establish a major character shift in five minutes, but this is unbelievable

Christian Bale shows up and shoves Aaron Eckhart off the building but doesn't save him.

Christian Bale
We can't let the city find out Aaron Eckhart killed those people
Tell them I did it

Gary Oldman
I'll go along with your plan to protect Aaron Eckhart, despite the fact he nearly shot my son in the face

The police chase Christian Bale while Gary Oldman twists his monologue into something that lets him say the movie title

So is the graphic novel that comes with it a TDK graphic novel? Or is just one that has nothing to do with it?

^ haha thanks for posting that sarg2k, that was hilarious!

Its the prologue comic that was released with BB region 1
Its about 14 pages long, not esentially a graphic novel, its a nice little extra though if you are a fan.
I can send you some scans of it later if you want

Anyone else over the weekend notice the dark knight soundtrack on Strictly come dancing?

Along with the batman begins soundtrack (for the second time i might add) on the X factor.
