Cool interview with the KFM coordinator. It was his idea for the "magic trick" (was just joking around), but he seemed dissapointed that he didnt get to show the fighting moves he *really* wanted to put on screen.

Cool, thanks.
I would love to see the Batman movie that allowed them to explore the techniques they had to tone down...

hmmm thats why there was like no blood at all in the movie. Plus I can see why the whole "lets put a smile on that face!" scene seems to be edited really weird.

Hm. Interesting. I do recall hearing that there was supposed to be a bloody Joker in the interrogation room scene.

The guy mentions that there is no blood in the movie. I do recall hearing that there was supposed to be a bloody Joker in the interrogation room scene. There was also a bit of blood on Batman in the Parking Garage scene. As he walks off to go jump on the van, you can see a bit of blood on his suit.

Also, Harvey had some blood when he was on the strecher. But yes, it was very mild and almost nonexistant.

While I would like to see these fighting moves, I don't think TDK really needed any more violence than it had, so good choice on Nolan to tone it down. It would've just been gratitious to show any more violence.

(Though I think Joker needed some blood on him after he gets hit with Bats' armblades. It doesn't make sense for him not to have any blood.)

Yeah Nolan said in an interview that he had blood ready to go for that scene...but decided not to use it because he thought that the smeared make-up effect was a better way to show his wear & tear.

Yeah, he did have more red "scars" after Batman pulled him back up though. I guess we're supposed to assume the blades just skidded off the side of his face, and didnt go directly into him.

1) They should have tried some blood on the joker in the interrogation scene, although it could have mixed with the makeup and gone all wrong.
2) Batman's nose or lip could have bled in a fight.
3) The only blood in the film i can remember is on batman's forearm at the parking lot which was caused by that dog bite.

In any case, directors have gotten away with worse. Look at Prime skinning the Fallen's face, Megatron impaling him, or all the sex jokes in ROTF. It was just robots? Sure, but it sure was gory!

lol Mr. Earle your sig is hilarious!

the fight sequence in the Dark Knight suck so hard, seriously Batman is a martial art expert, but in this movie he can't move, for the action sequence is a very low point about this movie (but I hate also everything about this movie), I really would like to see him fight like Emil Blonsky in the incredible hulk, with a good stunt double, I'm fan HK fans and to see how these fights sequences suck in TDK is very sad for me.
