hell, the managers don't even have to tell the employees to put it on, it's automatic for the employees once they see the name.

That's not true..it doesn't matter if it IS Spiderman. You'll be reading countless complaints on these boards how 'My goddamn theatre didn't show it!' come June 30th.

It really is up to the theatre....it being a Spiderman 3 teaser makes no difference.

I remember I went to see Planet of the Apes for no reason but to see the Spidey teaser and got screwed.

But, I agree that most managers will make Spidey 3 a priority, even knowing that a portion of the SR opening week audience will be there just for the teaser.

I would say it being Sm-3 increases it's chances greatly but you are correct that there is no guarantee

thats fantastic. i think we can not expect a teaser like from spiderman 2,x3 or superman returns since those teasers were coming out in november or december. this is now end june so i am not expecting some effects.

i just hope that the teaser is made really good. and belive me raimi when i say this:teasers with text and a logo are not interesting anymore. so dont even try to realese this kind of sh...

we nknow that making a CGI spiderman is not hard anymore so maybe will they make special scenes only for the teaser.

The Spidey 2 teaser was released on December 15, 2003. But they hadn't started filming until around April. So from filming to teaser, it's about the same amount of time as now. Even more when you consider that they've been working on the CG effects since near the beginning of last year.

ok, but look at how much closer to the release of the movie that was. SM2 came out in...june? july? so from teaser to release was december to june/july (i'm not sure on that one).

this teaser to movie is july to next may, if the release doesn't get pushed back. that's quite a bit longer, and i highly doubt they'll show as much as they did in the SM2 teaser.
