The Dark Knight Teaser

All I know is that the trailer should end with a VO of Joker's laugh before the Summer 2009 sign hits the screen.

You mean summer 2008, right?

They should make it similiar to the spidey3 teaser.

Here's mine - extremly simple teaser.

Don't know how to make it an animated gif plus it's kinda crude (made in MS Paint) so bear with me..

-Starts off with the brownish/black back ground with the joker card floating down like a feather with a barely audible yet distinct psychotic laugh in the background.
Just as the card is going off screen *schink!* - Batarang has it pinned.

Robin's entry was amazing.

Here is my personal spin on it:

EXT. OUTSIDE ALLEYWAY - NIGHT
JAMES GORDON stands separated from a crowd of forensics and police. He puts a cigar to his mouth and lights it. HARVEY DENT makes his way over. GORDON puffs on his cigar.

DENT
What have we got here?

GORDON
A mess.

They begin walking into the alleyway.

CUT TO:
EXT. ALLEYWAY – MOMENTS LATER
We are in a dark alleyway situated high above a lifeless body. The camera slowly pans in towards the body as GORDON AND DENT speak close by and off-screen.

GORDON (O.S)
Fifth this month.

DENT (O.S)
He's toying with us. He's good at it too.

GORDON (O.S)
Another prominent enforcer of the Maroni family. We're gonna’ have a mob war on our hands.

We are getting closer and closer to the body

DENT (O.S)
Who’d do a thing like that to a guys face? Is it a message?

GORDON (O.S)
More like a warning. Of things to come.

The music begins to swell slowly as we can suddenly make out the deformed face of the man, twisted and bloody with a demented smile carved into his face.

GORDON (O.S)
I think it's time you met my partner.

FADE TO.
EXT. GCPD ROOFTOP – NIGHT

A light illuminates the two men from the side. The two men, GORDON and DENT stand on the rooftop, waiting.

We hear something, like a soft rustle off-screen. The two men hear it as well, they turn and look.

BATMAN (O.S)
Gentlemen.

CUT TO.
BLACK

FADE IN.
THE DARK KNIGHT

FADE TO.
RETURNS SUMMER 2008

We hear a distant, fading laugh.

FADE TO:
BLACK

not bad; but realy. it wont just be a "scene" from the movie. itll be a assortment of clips. probably random shots from the film.

Not bad at all!

I really like it. I was going to use the smile, but I figured for a trailer it would be too gruesome to be "approved for all audiences".

But really good.

I'm hoping they dont do a Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent friendship. That was a B:TAS invention only, and one I didn't particularly like (rather, I liked it at the time, until i read The Long Halloween and realized how much better a Batman/Harvey relationship was). This movie needs to focus on the alliance of Batman, Harvey, and Gordon working to bring down the Joker.

Come to think of it you're right. Bruce Wayne making friends with the new DA just for no good reason is a little forced. More than a little. Nice thought about the Long Halloween, having them meet none the less.

A female reporter comes on television set with red hair:

"The menacing killer who has been haunting the city for months now, though not seen has just unleashed a vicious reign of murders. All of them related to the police force members and their families. Including Jim Gordon..."

Cut to a shot of Gordon looking at the ground, speaking to someone.
"My wife... (clenches fists, eyes water up) my little boy."

Cut to a shot of a dead woman, holding what seems to be a figure a very young boy in her arms.

Cut back the red-haired reporter "District Attorney Harvey Dent..."

Cut to a shot of Dent holding his wife's lifeless body
"Oh God, no (sobbing). Gilda."

Then cut to Dent standing by Gordon, looking at someone. "He has to pay."

Cut once again back to the reporter "And Dent's assistant."

Cut to a shot of Bruce walking up to a crime scene in front of the DA Building.

Police are everywhere. He peeks through the crowd. His eyes widen up. And he pushes his through the crowd, until he reaches the pollice. One of them grab's Bruce. Then we cut the body of Rachel Dawes, hanging on the front of the building, with spray painted "Ha, ha, heh, ha" all over the building.

"Rachel.... Racheeeeeeeeeeel!" Bruce can't stop screaming

Cut back to Gordon and Dent. Gordon looks up in the same direction.

Cut to Batman, the one they are talking to. He has a vengeance-seeking look in his eyes. "We will bring him in."

Cut to Batman walking up to an old-looking building. Obviously abandoned.
He walks up and blows the door down with a mini-mine.

He walks over the door and into the shadow-covered builiding and screams with expressed rage. "Jokerrrrrrrrrr!!!!!"

The Joker walks out of the shadows, whips out a crowd, and shrieks an ear-piercing, menacing laugh. He throws the card which flies into the camera. And it goes black.

"THE DARK KNIGHT" shows up and fades off

"BRINGING JUSTICE BACK, 2008"

I know. I was like... wow! But what do you guys thinks of teaser idea?

VO: voice over
HD: Harvey Dent
JG: Jim Gordon

VO (HD): "It's been going on for months."

The black fades into the face of James Gordon, a grim look on his face. He bows his head as the scene cuts to paramedics pulling a white sheet over a body.

VO (HD): "We don't know how to catch him."

VO (JG): "I have an idea..."

The Bat-Signal lights up the sky. Short, fast clips of action flash across the screen for a few moments accompanied by intense music, ending on Batman before slipping onto Jim Gordon cradling the motionless form of a red-haired girl.

VO (JG): "It just got personal."

The screen fades to darkness as the Joker's laugh echoes...
