Animation Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

The '03 series was great. Very underrated.

Unlike the 80's cartoon it was actually co- produced by Mirage and Laird was heavily involved.

It's basically what he always envisioned for a saturday morning kids show.

Never seen the 2003 or 2012 series.

I know there's fans of both, but is there a consensus on which one is better?

I think the Turtles, for me, was the first popular phenomenon i fell in love with as a kid. I had so many of the toys and merchandise and was just obsessed with the cartoon and those first two movies. Its kind of awesome all these decades later the franchise is still going strong.

Yeah the 2003 series was great. I still find myself humming the theme song here and there lol.

Does anyone care to defend the Saban live action show, featuring Venus?
That live action series was so cheesy and lame

But about the only two positives I can take from is that it’s the last live action TMNT project we got based on the original designs (pre-Michael Bay TMNT) and it gave us the hilarious & so bad that it’s good crossover with the Power Rangers

I grew up poor but I loved just going to the toy area at k-mart and loved just seeing all the different characters and wonder why they weren’t in the show.

I still have a ton of the toys somewhere in storage, I played with them so many busted up but still great times. I don't watch that new cartoon and I didn't watch the Bay movies in theaters, but I really enjoyed this movie. TMNT holds special place in me.

Donatello
I loved all the anime references he wasn't just a tech guy either he seemed more modern nerdish. I noticed he had a Satoru Gojo Jujutsu Kaisen sticker on the bo. Looking forward to being able to watch at home and pause.

Leo
My favorite he was always viewed as a bit of a dork with his leader skills though so do a good job of that. I was surprised they had him crush on April though, he was great though.

Raph
Liked his size not being over the top bigger and he looked cute as a baby. He wasn't too sarcastic or hard headed. He came off as the cool one more than Mikey or one they follow with breaking Splinter's rules.

Mikey
He was not immature or over the top, he was chill. I liked noticing his silly things in the background. Think we will see him skateboard in the next one for sure.

Why is everyone so hard on TMNT? It's definitely better than Secret of the Ooze

I really enjoyed this movie. 2nd best TMNT movie IMO! It was well paced, very slim movie with great characters and a good story that had nice payoffs. I would say 2nd best animated film of year, only to ATSV

A good start for TMNT, $10.2M from Tuesday previews + Wednesday.
I think the 5 day estimate is lowballed at $40m+, think it might flirt with $50m.

Did a quick search, and saw that this movie’s budget was $70 million. If you include advertising, the full budget is probably around $100 million or so. This is easily going to make its budget back and then some, just from kids wanting to go see it again multiple times in theaters and word of mouth alone.

No wonder they were so confident about making the announcement for the sequel and TV series so early. They were really proud of what they had and were probably looking at the success of similar animated films as of late and knew that they had a hit.

I didn’t realise the reviews for this were so good. With that and the A cinemascore it should be in good shape to make a decent number.
I had thought that Barbie and Oppenheimer would be my last trips to the theater this summer but the overwhelmingly positive reception for TMNT means I'll probably check this out in theaters as opposed to waiting until it's on streaming.

Same here. For some reason I was expecting it to review badly so this is a great surprise for me.
