Action-Adventure Terminator: Dark Fate

Probably more they just thought he was the next “it” boy.

See also John Carter guy and the amount of movies he was cast in at one point trying to make him a superstar.

Ah yes, Taylor Kitsch. I often wonder what makes Hollywood seize on one particular actor and decide, "THIS is the guy!" It would be one thing if the actor is incredibly talented; they did this with DiCaprio back in the 90s and it actually made sense because he's really good. But Kitsch? He's been okay in a few supporting roles (mostly after Hollywood stopped trying to turn him into their It Boy), but he's not anything special. John Carter probably would have been a terrible movie anyway but his performance just doomed it.

Is he that guy from the Titan? He kinda looks like a lanky Jai Courtney.

Yeah, that's him, but more significantly, Worthington was also the guy from Avatar and Terminator: Salvation. I'll admit that I liked him in Avatar (and enjoyed the movie for the most part, at least in the theater), but yeah, he's another one that they tried to turn into a huge star. But Clash of the Titans, T:S and Man on a Ledge were so bad that he disappeared as quickly as he came onto the scene. And that's probably a good thing because outside of Avatar, he sucks.

Worthington isn't lanky. If anything Jai Courtney is more lanky than Worthington, instead of the other way around.

I'd call Worthington pretty lanky. At least compared to the typical Hollywood action hero leading man
That period when they were pushing Worthington was weird. I've seen him in a few things, dramas, and he wasn't good in those either. It's not like Taylor Kitsch who was good in Friday Night Lights, The Normal Heart, and Lone Survivor. Or Jai Courtney who apparently was good in Spartacus. But I've never seen Worthington be good in anything. Barely even heard of him being good in anything except for Somersault. And even that I couldn't get through

Yeah, I'd say Worthington isn't lanky. He's not as swole as Courtney, but he has more muscle definition overall.

I see the name Avatar and keep thinking of this

I have seen neither the James Cameron movie nor the live action adaption of this series.

Do we have a different definition of “lanky”? Lanky is Andrew Garfield, not Sam Worthington. Do those two have the same build to you?
As I said he's "lanky" compared to the typical action hero where everyone looks roided up or very muscular

Worthington isn’t lanky, he’s scrawny. At least he was in Avatar. I think he put on a little muscle in some of his other movies but he’s nowhere near Courtney’s size.

Yeah but remember, Skynet built the T-800 to infiltrate the human resistance. So logically, if they were meant to blend in, we would have to assume that all humans in the apocalyptic wasteland are body builders. Thus Courtney was appropriately cast. :o

I think skynet realized their mistake when crafting the T-1000 as a slim dude.

Some much **** leaked for disney, but not for Terminator. Of course the franchise is on it's knees at the moment, so probably there wasn't much interest to begin with, much less than for endgame or mandalorian...

Not sure there is anything to leak right now.

I don't think CinemaCon was a public event and they've only shown footage there.

It probably wasn't. But we should get something within a month, I believe.

Heavy in post-production. I wonder if it can be considered reshoots since Luna wrapped a few months ago.

A good question, although I don't know if this mo-cap stuff was even done or started yet considering they were abroad for majority of the shoot.

Fair enough. They certainly did some mocap on location or something like that. There's a photo of Luna from last year with mo-cap pants where he says they're comfy af.
