Twist No. 1? Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton’s steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991’s T2. [blackout]Rather, the mother of humanity’s messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she’s been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger’s Terminator—an older T-800 she calls “Pops”—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

“Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen,” says Ellison. “But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, ‘That’s not what I want to do.’ It’s her decision that drives the story in a very different direction.”[/blackout]

from T2 on she is a badass character.

spoilers from EW.But,at least we have idea why Arnold looks old as terminator.

I know Salvation was awful, and time travel is a big element in the series, but I can't shake the feeling that everything this film is trying to do is stupid.

Why Sarah Connor again? You're not going to top Linda Hamilton, and the character has already served her purpose in the story. Jai Courtney is terribly mis-cast, just look at him on that cover haha. Not exited by the prospect of seeing either of them again to be honest. This series needed to move forward, not back. The aged Arnold Terminator could be interesting, if handled well. Not confident though.

I agree that Jai looks like a total miscast. I just don't' get his appeal. Sure he may have been decent in Spartcus but so far, like Taylor Kitch, his movie work is a mixed bag. That and he just has an unappealing face.

I just think his Die Hard 5 stink hasn't rubbed off yet, and yet, and there has been no attempts to redeem himself.

Of course I'm going to give him a chance when I watch the film but I will never hide that I hate Jai Courtney's casting right now. And that awful photo is bringing up those bad feelings again.

I don't care how bad this movie ends up looking, the Mother of Dragons and The Doctor are in a Terminator film. I'm going to see it for that.

By all means, I don't think this will represent the film in any way. But what a bad 'first look'. We don't' even have a cover with Arnie.

Sarah Connor coming back is fine. It is where I think the series should go. But as much as like love Emilia Clarke, I can't for the life of me understand how she got the role over Brie Larson. She is the kind of actress who can embodied what made Linda Hamilton's Sarah one of the great characters in film.

I also agree on Jai Courtney. The only way he could look more out of place, is if he was missing his head or something.

The only thing I've see Jai Courtney in where he was remotely tolerable was Divergent.
