Terminator: Genisys - Part 8

You can easily explain that one, and even if you can't the first Terminator doesn't have 100+ such logical errors.

*************

I see the defenders of this movie are now saying "logic has no value". If you're saying that maybe you should reflect on your entire argument.

I am not a defender of anything, there are "mistakes" in every movies, some glaring other less.
It's by over analyzing stuff like that some "people" can't enjoy movies anymore.
Is T:G a classic in the line of T:1, no but it's an OK sequel to T:2.

What you can call me is : an easy audience because I am.

Sorry.:funny: But yeah, the movie sucked. And when could the T-800 regrow human flesh? Did I miss something?

I guess they decided that because in T2 he said the gunshot wounds would heal, he could regrow an entire arm. :funny:

They should've explored this in T2, could've been interesting to see how it would've played out- stop judgement day, lose your son... keep your son, billions need to die.

I always consider T2 as its own loop within the T1 loop and T3 its own loop within T2.

There are plenty of good and sometimes bad movies that I enjoy and this is well documented by thousands of posts on this forum.

Don't take what I wrote too personally nor as an attack, it is not my meaning.

My fanon is that he could find the materials to create a new arm. I had to come up with a lot of fanon while watching it. Like my theory that genysis had exclusive nintendo games to explain why children wanted it.

 even I am guilty of over analysing movies at times.

There's a big difference between gunshot wounds healing and regrowing an entire forearm and hand of flesh.

It's human skin which has been known to grow back over large areas in the real world. Plus had over 20 years for it to do so. The movie has bigger issues than this IMO.

It's a fully exposed skeleton arm. Can it really grow back in its entirety?

Who knows, its grown in a lab by machines to pass as human as the T-800 is an infiltration unit, I imagine Skynet would have thought about things like this when it created them.

Loved that the Dysons Miles and his son Danny all grown up Danny were in this film but also that even though they stopped Judgment Day in T2 with stopping Skynet it ultimately ended up still coming to exist but Pops at the end with that upgrade it actually makes him unstoppable

But with the next villain for the next film, definitely should be Dwayne The Rock Johnson as a Terminator

I actually hope they dial it back with the villain Terminators a little now, I liked the T-3000 but it was a bit too unstoppable for me and I think if they made something superior to that it would be stretching things too much.

I think the Rock as another T-1000 would be the way to go, actually make things equal for once.

The Rock as a T-1000 would be the way to go but how about Matt Smith's character of the T-5000 also known as Skynet? I mean Skynet infected John and since the T-3000 supposedly died then what the hell happens to John Connor then?

Or instead of another Terminator why not bring back the T-X Terminator? Female Terminator would be the way to go as a villain but who to cast as the new T-X?

Who knows?

It's irritating when people use that as if Skynet is capable of absolutely anything.

You're suggesting that machines can develop human flesh that can heal without scar tissue like Wolverine does, albeit not as fast, and even regrow fingernails.

Yep, it doesn't accord with the healing abilities on display in T1 and T2. In T1, when the Terminator suffered injuries to his biological elements, it was clear that it could not heal that extensively. Rather, as commented on by its neighbour in the motel, the flesh was decaying and rotting and gave off a horrible stench. Its healing capabilities were largely similar to that of a normal human being, ie. gunshot wounds closing and healing after appropriate medical treatment, but not able to grow back missing or seriously injuried body parts.

If I remember correctly, in the Sarah Conner Chronicles, one of the terminators had a totally exposed endoskeleton at one stage. 'He' made a bathtub full of living flesh, submerged itself in it & came out with a new body of skin. It used a plastic surgeon to shape out a face it afterwards. Anyone else remember that?

I do.

Its flesh is exactly like a human.

Yet in T2 the flesh didn't decay and it was stated it would heal, in the extended cut they even cut his head open and there was no visible wound the next day. It's also stated in T2 the T-800 has detailed files on human anatomy. Pops had 33 years to crow back the skin on his arm and had extensive knowledge of futuristic technology, I don't find it such a stretch he could grow back an arm in that time.

As I said, the movie has much bigger issues than that.

They still had to treat him and remove the bullets. There were bandages all over him. Would they have bothered with those if he could just heal without any treatment?

The T-800 couldn't get to those wounds himself as they were on his back, that's why he needed help with treatment, Pops could easily access his arm to fix it.
