That's one of the reasons I disliked the redneck rape attempt scene. It felt so out of place.
I liked the redneck scene. The fight was choreographed well and it was one of the few moments in the whole film that felt tense.
And for a war movie there's virtually no war scenes in it. Where are all the massive battles with the terminators that they said we were going to see.
This movie seemed to be in perpetually falling action. First we get a glimpse of a major operation, then we get some chase sequences, and before we know it the film's boiled down to a single Terminator. It felt like they wanted a big, loud opening for this, but then they didn't have the finances for anything else.
