Terminator Salvation

Meh...

All the Terminator games I've played sucked so I'll probably skip this one.

Im thinking just another poor movie tie in....i pray im wrong.

I am hoping the game will allow you to Terminate with extreme predjudice...spectacularly. Terminator Salvation could be the first good Terminator game since...T-2: The Arcade Game.

It seems kind of reminiscent of Gears of War. It looks O.K. but I hope they get Christian Bale to voice John Connor in it.

I thought the same thing, in the trailer you can see the guy slide to cover. Well I see this being a flop. :csad:

Since this is, alas, a movie tie in, I have to assume that it's shovelware until I see some proof to the contrary. However, I do think it's interesting that they are following a similar formula to what I've long said I would make a Terminator game like.

A while back I said that if I was making a Terminator game, it'd take place in the future, and it would play similar to Gears of War. The difference was that my version would have had you controlling Kyle Reese (voiced by and modeled after Michael Beihn, of course), and there would also have been parts where you take control of mech walkers (think "Lost Planet"). Sure, we never saw them use mechs in the movies, but I think that they'd fit with the Terminator mythology quite nicely, and would make for an awesome gameplay element.

It looked pretty, but most games these days do. The question is control and story. I have very little faith in movie games though, they're rushed onto the market to coincide with the movie release and therefore never as good as they could be.

If it's at least as good as "Terminator 3: The Redemption" for the PS2, I'll probably get it.

I hope you'll be able to play as a Terminator, and they better throw in a skin of Arnie.

I remember hearing that game was good.

I didn't believe it. So, I never played it.

The trailer for the game of Salvation tried too hard to be like the trailer for the movie.

And the trailer for the movie was badass. So, it was like a watered down version. Meh. It'll be an uphill battle for the game, I think.

Good, but damn hard sometimes. It felt like an old arcade game.

John Connor In Terminator Salvation Game, Christian Bale Not

Actress Rose McGowan is not in the upcoming Hollywood sci-fi flick Terminator Salvation, but is in the game. The always professional Christian Bale is in the movie, but not in the game. Not fair!

In an interview with GamePro Magazine, developer Cos Lazouras reveals that players will be playing as Terminator hero John Connor, but players will not be playing as Christian Bale's likeness.

Those disappointed by the absence of Bale, feel free to scream and threaten your television.

Damn that blows ass chunks.

Who do you play as? Marcus? Kyle Reese? A random Resistance fighter? Barnes? ugh

This isnt looking too good.

You play as John Conner, but John Conner isnt going to look or sound like Christian Bale.

Here's the game intro. Looks good.

that video was cool.

But it would have 10x cooler with Christian Bale in it.

Weird, Bale did the likeness and voice over for Batman Begins...wonder why it didn't happen for Salvation.

I think in the movie thread someone said because the Batman Begins games wasn't well received. It appears Bale lends his likeliness only to quality products. As seen with the cheap toys which only have John Connor with a helmet and goggles.

I have to admit, that looks MUCH better than i thoght it would but damn it would have been MUCH better with Bale.
