**** you Penn. You screwed up Angel and gave him **** to do. And you say you won every battle in the first half of the movie? Well then, why was Cyclops OUT OF THE PICTURE then? You did say before that you fought for him, did you not?

They never Fought for Scott.

FOX TOLD THEM FROM THE BEGINNING!! HERE MAKE THIS HAPPEN AND ONE RULE..

THERE IS NO SCOTT!!

slow down there buddy a movie of that magnitude going straight to dvd?

can you say bad Cgi? :p

If anything i would be happy with an animation version (since even the TAS one was tweaked) but the TAS one was however excellent)

Bobby: Mom, dad, im...im..out of character...
Mom: So what? like this is any news. Everybody in this room including me and your dad is out of character. Oh, and in the next movie, that Art Professor will soon get out of character too!

All parents were out of character. Jean's parents were castrated and turned from upper class New England old-school money, the kind whose ancestors started the Hellfire club into just another middle-class American consumer, bowing down and kissing Xavier's ring.

well i doubt it will make it to the theaters, and animatrix looked awsome for a straight to dvd movie. so did the 2nd final fantasy movie... i think it could work...if the time is taken to do it right.

And there is no spoon.

The only reason why FOX allowed Jean/Phoenix to be in this movie was to give Wolverine yet another attempt at unrequited love and someone to huff and puff over, never mind he was over her in X2.

Mom: Is there any way you can be...I dunno...in character?

Honey, we're both suffering from bad writing

NO!!!

There there [hugs and kisses forehead]... It'll be all right. Maybe they'll fix it in the sequel

What if... [sniff] they don't?

Then there's always fanfics.

Who's fault is that? Halle didn't pen her role. All she wanted was what the fans wanted too. And yet despite all her alledege star power all she got was what we saw in X3. That's not Halle's fault. Any one saying those lines would have appeared as equally as riduculous as she did.

I'm pissed that Storm was basically a blank page. I wanted Scott to show us some kind of leadership abilities. I wanted Kitty to be a bit less of a action-star and more of a normal girl. I wanted Iceman to give at least one funny line. Is this too much to ask?

Yeah true. But I'd argue that it was Halle's igo, threats and ridiculous demands that got her those ridiculous lines. She asked for her character to have some kind of perspective or opinion. In fact, if I understand correctly, she threatened to pull out of production if she didn't get this. Well she go it - the writers and everyone else were desperate to give her what she wanted. Only thing is, her opinion in this movie is completely stupid, and makes absolutely no sense coming from Storm. She demanded a whole load of ca*p and that's exactly what she got.

No what she wanted was exactly what Scott Jean and Logan got. An essential part of the plot instead of being the token minority that was nothing more than an agry power tool.

And if they weren't depending so much on her status in the film they should have called her bluff and let her walk. If Storm's part was taken out of the movie, you'd get the same exact movie minus the token souless minority. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they [Fox] knew this and gave in.

But you need to understand that Halle was screwed either way. She got slammed by one of the biggest Marvel fanbases because it appeared that she didn't fight for a better role after the decimation of her character in the first two movies. So she fights, and gets the role of X3's Storm. Now people are still b****in'.

As I have said over and over. Halle's biggest mistake is her representation. Her agency is the one who got her that role in the first place. Her agent needs to go. She should have known that this role was far beneath her. Ditto with Catwoman. Hopefully we will see much better script choices from Halle in the future. By now she knows that she should stick with dramatic parts.

Exactly.

I thought it was kinda tacky that he went from telling her fiance Scott to 'get over her' to attempting to hump her at the first opportunity. :whatever: I find it hard to believe that Hugh's really proud of the way his character was written in X3 and thinks the storyline was the best one of the trilogy.

Valid points, but seriously, unless Halle portrayed a great enigmatic Storm, she was never going to get a great role... and before you go saying it wasn't her, it was the part, I know... it's not just her fault. I mean, if they were heading toward the Phoenix Saga, and that's what everyone knew with the second movie coming around, Storm was never going to have lots of screentime, she was always going to play smaller role...

it's suddenly occured to me how completely pointless this is... what's done is done.

I just think that if Halle had taken a look at the source material (something you'd expect someone being paid over 10 million for a few months work to do), she might have realised what a crazy wonderful story the Phoenix Saga was and said to herself, 'maybe I should cool it, this is a cool story.' But no, instead she just thought, 'I play Storm so Phoenix can go f**k herself.

I don't know what you find so funny... she was obsessed with it... every morning she'd come on set and say 'where's my f**king bucket of carp' and if they didn't have it on time, for the entire day she'd start fights with her fellow cast members... one such fight, with Anna Paquin started when Paquin referred to Berry's role as 'insubstantial'. Berry slapped her hard in the face for that one.

I know I know. I've been harsh on you, but again your looking at it from a "I heart Famke and nothing else matters no matter how decimated the entire team was. And Halle is worthless no matter what she does" point of view.

Get rid of the hate and look at it from the opposite point of view.

As I have said before many many times. Halle has never once, EVER, denouced, Famke's importance to the film. Nor did she take away from the Phoenix plot.

Take a look again at X3. Storm and Phoenix had no spoken dialoge with each other, nor did they have more than one fram together. Storm had nothing to do with that side of the movie. NOTHING! She had a stance on the cure, and she was the instuctor in the Danger Room. At the end of the movie she held the keys to the mansion, by default only, for a split second. Xavier was alive at the end. So she was never technically Headmistress.

So why still the hate from you. What did Halle do in X3 that takes away from the Phoenix storyline. Her screen time is the SAME as it was in X2. Get a stopwatch. In fact it may be even less.

Your prolly angry because of the marketing campaign. Halle is a reconziable (even before X1) and they wen't with it to sell the movie. It was one of the few smart moves by Fox, cause it worked.

Just don't threated to kill any one over it. Kay?

Singer got it right for the most part... **** Fox for not signing him... it's really a shame that this trilogy could of been LOTResque but we end up with a very average trilogy... maybe we'll get a reboot in 20 years but after all its just a movie...

Very true with that. But I heard it was with a fish. Paquin said that her Oscar was older and therefore much better. Halle said that her Oscar was for a LEADING actress and therefore better. Paquin threw a carp right back at her.

Then the real fight started.

Famke laughed so hard at the both she choked on her bottle of water. Mardsen tried to do the heimlech but failed. Then Hugh had to save the day...AGAIN:whatever:

Or, so I heard. :D
