I feel as if Canucks fans have a built-in excuse with Malholtra's eye injury if they choke this year. If I'm the Canucks I pray they get matched up against Dallas. Not impressed with them at all. The Ducks/Hawks would be a tough first round matchup, I would hate to have them in the first round.

Malhotra's a 3rd line centre with something like 30 points this season, despite his obvious worth it isn't the end of the world losing him. If the Canucks lose out it won't be because Malhotra wasn't there for a key faceoff or an important penalty kill, it'll be because of a full-on lack of team effort from guys like Luongo and the Sedins and the defense.

Every Canadian team has an excuse during the playoffs, not just Vancouver. If the Canucks have a meltdown in the playoffs though, I will blame the loss of Darcy Hortichuk.

(I actually don't know what I'm talking about at all, Crosby and Ovechkin are the only Hockey player's I know. But I've been trying to watch more games lately).

USA, so I grew up watching NFL and NBA. But when I got into Hockey, is when I watched the 2008(right?) Stanley Cup Finals between the Penguins and Red Wings and realized how awesome the sport is. It was the one where the Red Wings ended up winning it all. But while I enjoy the Stanley Cup Finals(watched 2009 and last year too)I don't have a team to root for so it's hard to get into the regular season.

I'm just joking around. But the funny thing is, I was actually going to ask for some suggestions on who I should root for. Because my hometown doesn't have an NHL team and I've never been one to root for the city that I live in.

So if you could suggest to me a cool and flashy team to watch, I would appreciate it.
